Chandigarh, Dr Rupesh K Singh, Head, Adani Group (Punjab & Haryana) has been appointed as the mentor for the GMSSS, Sector 21 under the newly launched 'Adopt a School - Inspire a Generation Initiative' started by Department of School Education, UT Chandigarh.

This flagship mentorship programme has been approved by the Administrator of UT Chandigarh aimed to strengthen Govt schools through structured guidance, life-skill interventions and community collaboration. Dr. Singh’s appointment aligns with the vision of engaging seasoned professionals to inspire and empower young minds.

With a distinguished record in corporate leadership and public engagement, Dr. Singh brings a unique perspective that bridges real-world insights with classroom learning. As a mentor, his role will include monthly school visits, career guidance sessions and the facilitation of workshops on health, hygiene, cyber safety and life skills. He will work closely with school staff and students to foster academic excellence, instill ambition and promote holistic development.

The ‘Adopt a School’ initiative draws from the National Education Policy 2020 and underscores the importance of volunteer mentorship in shaping future-ready citizens.
