One arrested under Excise Act

A Case FIR No. 94 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area against Manoj, R/o #1458/1, Sec-29B, Chandigarh, aged 43 years. The accused was apprehended from near B&R Office, Sec-29, Chandigarh, on 27-09-2026 at about 08:05 PM, and 55 quarters of Desi liquor were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Three arrested under Arms Act

A Case FIR No. 159 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran against Gurnam R/o #2874, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh, aged 25 years. The accused was apprehended from near Bridge Makhan Majra on 27-09-2026, and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and later released by the Court. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 160 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran against Rahul Pal @ Ramu S/o Raju, R/o #3803, Mauli Complex, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, aged 24 years. The accused was apprehended from Slip Road near Petrol Pump, Raipur Kalan, on 27-09-2026, and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to judicial custody. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 161 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran against Shivam Saini, R/o #174, Vill. Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, aged 26 years. The accused was apprehended from near Bridge Makhan Majra towards Raipur Khurd Road on 27-09-2026 at about 08:05 PM, and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested consuming liquor at Public place

A Case FIR No. 56 u/s 68(1)(b) PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station 49 on the complaint against Mukesh R/o near Gurudwara, Village Dharamgarh, Mohali (PB), aged 40 years, and Raj Kumar R/o Chanderpal, R/o #2506, Sec-49C, Chandigarh, aged 29 years. The accused persons were apprehended from Vendor Market, Sec-48, Chandigarh, on 27-09-2026 at about 09:28 PM, while drinking and creating nuisance at a public place. The accused persons were arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested under NDPS Act

A Case FIR No. 130 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya against Gurdit Singh @ Bholu R/o #55/3, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh, aged 23 years. The accused was apprehended from a park near EWS, Maloya, on 26-09-2026 at about 10:40 PM while allegedly smoking a drug using foil paper. A ₹10 currency note and lighter were also recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to Rehabilitation Centre, GMSH-16. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Accident

A Case FIR No. 152 u/s 281, 125A BNS has been registered at Police Station 34 on the complaint of a lady R/o # New Mata Gujri Enclave, Kharar, Mohali (PB) against Jaspal Singh S/o Harbhajan Singh, R/o #1660, Sec-22B, Chandigarh. The accused, while driving car No. CH-01AD-5540, allegedly hit Jupiter No. PB-23Z-3763, being driven by the complainant's father Manjeet Singh, on Sec-33/34 D/Road, Sec-33 side, on 18-09-2026 at about 11:45 AM. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to PGI. Investigation of the case is in progress.
