Chandigarh, July 23,2026: Bhavan’s Old Students’ Society (BOSS) successfully organised the 2nd BOSS Badminton Tournament 2026 on 19 July 2026 at the Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh. It witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 150 players from the Bhavan fraternity. The tournament brought together alumni, students, parents and faculty members in a celebration of sportsmanship, fitness and camaraderie.
The opening ceremony was graced by Ms. Vineeta Arora, Director Education cum Senior Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh, Ms. Kunika Sharma, Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya (Junior Wing); and Ms. Suparna Bansal, Vice Principal. Their esteemed presence lent gravitas to the occasion and reaffirmed the deep and enduring bond between the institution and its alumni community.
The results were as follows:
* Men’s Singles: Winner – Avtarann Singh Pirta; Runner-up – Kartik Malhotra
* Women’s Singles: Winner – Gurnoor Sharma; Runner-up – Anayaa
* Men’s Doubles: Winners – Avtarann Singh Pirta & Manvik Garg; Runners-up – Amit Sachdeva & Pulkit Sachdeva
* Women’s Doubles: Winners – Annant Kaur & Gurnoor Sharma; Runners-up – Anjika Singh & Nandika Singh
* Mixed Doubles: Winners – Rajeev Narula & Harshita; Runners-up – Sahil Singla & Rupali
* Junior Doubles: Winners – Khushmay & Naman Bansal; Runners-up – Adnan Khan & Mankesh
* Under-12 Boys Singles: Winner – Vijval; Runner-up – Sarvad Mahajan
* Under-12 Girls Singles: Winner – Mishka Arora; Runner-up – Adhya Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, CA Deepak Garg President, Bhavan’s Old Students’ Society (BOSS). congratulated all the winners, runners-up and participants and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Vineeta Arora, the school management, principals, sponsors, volunteers and all BOSS members for their unwavering support in making the tournament a grand success.
The winners and runners-up were felicitated with trophies and certificates during the prize distribution ceremony. The successful conduct of the tournament once again reflected BOSS’s commitment to promoting sports, healthy living and strengthening the bond among the entire Bhavan fraternity.
