One person arrested under Arms Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Abhayas R/o # 600/56 Tower Building Vill Mouli Jagran, Chandigarh age-23 yrs from near BSNL Turn Ph-2 I/Area on dated 08-06-2026 and recovered Desi pistol and 2 round from his possession. A Case FIR No. 93 U/S 25-54-59 ARMS ACT has been registered in Police Station Sector 31 Chandigarh and accused is in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested in Theft

A case FIR No. 94 u/s U/S-305 BNS ADDED 317(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manish Deo Singh Flight Lieutenant Station Adjutant 3 BRD Airforce Station Chandigarh against Keshav R/o House No. 21, Raipurkhurd, Chandigarh age 21 years who stole away brass coupling of delivery hose (meant for extinguishing fire) from technical area 3BRD Chandigarh on dated 07-06-2026. Later on accused was arrested and in police lock up. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 61 u/s 305 BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Varinder Kumar R/o # 173 Kaimbwala, Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away complainant one pair gold jhumki, one nose pin, one pair silver payal and chas Rs 70000/- from his house on the night intervening 9/10-05-2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 74 u/s 305, 331(3) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Siddhartha Kumar R/o # 149, Sec-27/A, Chd age-52 yrs against unknown person who unlawfully entered his house through a window during his absence, ransacked the premises and committed theft of gold and silver jewellery and cash on dated 01-06-2026. CCTV footage reportedly captures the accused entering and moving inside the house. it has further been alleged that sharp kitchen knives were removed and later found placed on a bed, indicating preparation for causing hurt, assault, wrongful restraint or fear in case of confrontation. Investigation of the case is in progress.
