Chandigarh | 16 February 2026-A delegation of the National Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Force (NHRACF), Chandigarh, led by Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi President along with Sh. Anil Vohra Chairman, Rajan Mahajan Vice President and Rajat Malhotra General Secretary met Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Estate Officer, UT Chandigarh, and submitted representations appreciating recent reforms and offering constructive suggestions to further strengthen transparency and public welfare in the city.
The delegation congratulated the Deputy Commissioner for introducing the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system in the Estate Office, terming it a significant step towards ensuring fairness, accountability, and time-bound disposal of applications. The members appreciated the move to eliminate discretionary file processing and the initiative to clear long-pending cases, including corrective measures for properties wrongly marked as “resumed” during digitization.
The delegation also submitted suggestions regarding strengthening public grievance redressal, promoting anti-corruption awareness, human rights sensitization of officials, improved civic coordination, and enhanced citizen participation in governance. The NHRACF assured full cooperation to the Administration in promoting transparent and citizen-centric governance.
