Chandigarh, December 1, 2025 — The Centre of Excellence at PGIMER Chandigarh kicked off a week-long awareness program today at the Art Centre, PGI. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Aman Sharma, Professor In-charge Art, who emphasized the importance of education and support in managing AIDS.

As part of the interactive sessions, a yoga class was conducted by a certified yoga expert from PGI, aimed at helping patients improve their quality of life while managing their condition alongside the disease. Patients and their attendants were also provided with informative materials and counseling to enhance awareness. More than 100 patients and their attendants participated in the activities..

This initiative comes at a crucial time as the theme of this year's World AIDS Day is “Overcoming Destruction, Transforming the AIDS Response,” highlighting the need for renewed commitment and innovative strategies in the fight against AIDS.
