Chandigarh, May 12, 2025: As many as 5,258 students appeared today for the Panjab University CET (UG) Entrance Test – 2025, conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses in the science stream at PU. The test was organised by PU across 24 centres—19 in Chandigarh, two each in Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana, and one in Sri Muktsar Sahib.
Controller of Examinations Prof. Jagat Bhushan informed that 5,258, 5,256, 2,243, and 3,271 candidates appeared for the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology papers respectively. Incidentally, these figures are nearly on par with last year’s numbers: 5,271 (Chemistry), 5,273 (Physics), 2,351 (Mathematics), and 3,193 (Biology) in 2024.
The examination was overseen by several flying squads and observers, who were deputed to each centre to ensure routine checking and the smooth conduct of the process. The test was held without any untoward incidents, and all centres maintained a high standard of security and fairness.
The question booklets and answer keys of PU CET (UG) 2025 have been uploaded on the official website.
Though the CET UG result was scheduled to be declared on June 2, expeditious processing is being carried out, and the result declaration is likely to be advanced to May 23 so that the admission process can begin as early as possible. Following the announcement of the results, the online admission form for the final admission process will be made available.
