Four arrested under NDPS Act
A Case FIR No. 34 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area against Honey Kumar R/o Village Chauinda Devi, District Amritsar (Punjab), aged 20 years. The accused was arrested near the cremation ground, Phase-1, Industrial Area, Chandigarh, on 02-05-2025 and 41.83 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 38 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Manimajra against Dinesh @ Bagga S/o Vijay Kumar, R/o House No. 2334, NIC, Manimajra, UT Chandigarh, aged 25 years. The accused was arrested from the kacha rasta near Government Model High School, Pocket No. 8, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 03-05-2025 and 6.39 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 48 u/s 20 & 29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya against Bablu, aged 45 years, and woman aged 40 years, R/o same address. The accused were arrested near Sharam Buru Bhawan, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh, on 02-05-2025 and 9.324 kg of ganja was recovered from their possession. Both accused were arrested and are presently in police lockup. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under obstructing public servant
A Case FIR No. 37 u/s 68(1)B Punjab Police Act 2007 & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station Manimajra on the statement of SI Anand Kumar Pandey, regarding the arrest of a person creating nuisance and obstructing public servants in discharge of duty near Kishangarh.
Cheating
A Case FIR No. 65 u/s 420 IPC has been registered at Police Station Sector-11 on the complaint of Vinod Kumar R/o Sector-25, against Raj Kumar R/o Sector-46, regarding cheating of ₹1.5 lakh on the pretext of providing a government job. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 115 u/s 316(2), 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36 on ICMS Complaint dated 19.02.2025, along with twelve other complaints made by Deepak Chaudhary, R/o Kothi No. 558, Phase-1, Sector-55, Mohali, and others. During the inquiry, it was found that DK Goyal (Chairman), Manish Anand (COO), and Rajiv Babar of FIITJEE Centre, SCO No. 321–322, 1st and 2nd Floor, Sector-35, Chandigarh, had cheated all the complainants. Hence, the case has been registered against DK Goyal and other members of the FIITJEE Centre. Further investigation is underway.
