Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu R/o # 1608/C, Small Flats EWS Colony Dhanas, Chandigarh (age-40 years) and recovered 24 half of English wine from his possession from BSNL Turn Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh, on 21-05-2024. A case FIR No. 93, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 43 U/s 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Chandigarh who alleged that he received a whatsapp message from unknown number and they offered him online job of Google in which she had to review will be paid per task. They sent her a link to join their Telegram Channel and the complainant deposited a total of Rs. 1,55,600/- in a given account through multiple online transactions on 30.04.2024. Thus, they cheated the complainant. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 96 U/s 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurdarshan Singh R/o # 147, VPO- Majhi Distt- Sangrur (Pb) alleged that Manpreet Singh Brar, Ravinder Singh @ Ravi Sahab, Navjot Singh and others R/o BB Council, SCO No. 69, 3rd Floor Sector-17, Chandigarh cheated Rs. 5,70,000/- regarding providing Visa of UK and given fake offer letter to complainant’s son. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 52 U/s 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-03 Chandigarh on the complaint of Kulwinder Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh and others R/o VPO- Mandour, Nawa Sahar Distt. Patiala (Pb) against Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and others R/o Europe Way Consultancy, Office No. 21, SCO No. 156-160, 2^nd Floor, Sec-8/C, Chandigarh they cheated complainant of Rs. 82.5 lakh regarding providing Visa. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 91 U/s 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-31 Chandigarh on the complaint of Saneej Punnakkal Mundyakkal against Global Key Consultant SCF No. 76, Sec-47/D, Chandigarh who cheated with complainant of Rs 2 lakh regarding providing VISA. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mohali (Pb) (age-27 years) who cheated with complainant Rs 1 lakh fro providing the Job. Investigation of the case is in progress.
