A case FIR No. 31, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Daria, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person cheated Rs. 62,835/- through online transaction regarding providing her job. The investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 66, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Nachattar Singh R/o Village Jawanda Kalan, Distt. Tarantaran, PB who alleged that Devinder Singh, Pramjit, Aman, Raman & other R/o The Sapphire Immigration, SCO No. 64-65, third floor, Sector-17, Chandigarh have cheated Rs 11,66,512/- from complainant to send his son to abroad on study visa. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of Sector-5, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stole way one gold dimond set, one gold ruby stone set, one diamond stud gold bracelet, 2 pair diamond earrings, 2 GOLD bangles, two pair gold jhumka, four diamond stud gold ring, one stone stud pendant, one diamond stud pendant of gold, three gold chains, two gent’s gold chains, one gold ring gent’s, two diamond rings gent’s, one panna stud pendant with gold chain from complainant’s house. A case FIR No. 29, U/S 381 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Santosh Kumar R/o # 1192, Chakki Wali Gali, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh, reported that two unknown person on a motorcycle sped away after snatching complainant’s mobile phone near Golf Range turn, Chandigarh on 12.04.2024. A case FIR No. 36, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

CHANDIGARH-14.4.2024-In a major breakthrough, the team of Crime Branch/ANTF of Chandigarh Police got a major success while acting against proclaimed Offenders. As per direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime & HQ, under the guidance of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh, a team of Crime Branch and ANTF under the supervision of Insp. Ashok Kumar and Insp. Satvinder Singh able to arrest two Proclaimed offenders of NDPS Cases. who were declared PO in 2017 and 2023 due to the nonappearance in the court and they were wanted in Case FIR No. 5 dated 07.01.2017 U/S 21NDPS Act. and case FIR No. 82 dated 04.05.2020 U/S 21 NDPS Act PS-Sec-11, U.T, Chandigarh respectively.

Brief Fact

On 07.01.2017 Surjeet Kumar S/o Late Sh. Anil Kumar R/o Village Pantehd, The. Baijnath, Distt.- Kangra, H.P. Age 32 was apprehended and 04.90 gram smack was recovered from his possession. Subsequently case FIR No. 05 dated 07.01.2017 U/S 21 NDPS Act PS-IT Park, U.T, Chandigarh was registered against him. During trial he was released on bail, but due to the nonappearance in the court at the time of trial, he was declared PO. On 10.04.2024 the accused was arrested by SI Suresh Kumar from Baijnath Distt Kangra and send to judicial custody.

On 04.05.2020, Jitender S/o Chhailu R/o Village Pamedhiya, Post Office Saray Malkadim Distt. Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, Age-28 years was apprehended and 18 gram Heroin was recovered from his possession. Subsequently case FIR No. 82 dated 04.05.2020 U/S 21 NDPS Act PS-Sec-11, U.T, Chandigarh was registered against him. During trial he was released on bail, but due to the nonappearance in the court at the time of trial, he was declared PO. On 5.4.2024 the accused was arrested by SI Suresh Kumar from Sector 43 Chandigarh and send to judicial custody.
