Chandigarh, April 14:- To mark the Fire Services Day, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh on Sunday organized a programme at Fire Station, Sector 17, Chandigarh. This year Fire Service Week will be organized from 14th to 20th April, 2024 under the theme “Ensure Fire Safety, Contribute towards Nation Building”.
Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Mrs. Isha Kamboj, Joint Commissioner-cum- Chief Fire Officer and other Fire officers laid wreaths at the Martyrs’ Column, in Fire Station, Sector 17 and paid homage to fire brigade jawans. A two-minute silence was also observed in memory of all those firemen in the country who lost their lives while on duty.
