Special programs started from Tuesday to commemorate National Science Day at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. In the Science Exhibition based on the theme ‘Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat’, notable works, research and innovations of various departments of CUH and local schools were displayed on 27th February. On this occasion, poster making, working model, best out of waste, speech, painting and quiz competitions were organized.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of the University said that the objective of this program organized on the occasion of National Science Day is to connect students with science, identify their talent and inspire them for innovation. On this occasion, District Education Officer, Mahendergarh Sh. Sunil Dutt and District Elementary Education Officer Sh. Santosh Chauhan were present as guest of Honour.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, said it is our endeavor that the students do not just study till they get the degree, but they also remain engaged and trained on the fronts of innovation, practical knowledge and skill development during their studies. The Vice Chancellor said that the University is continuously making efforts to achieve this objective through the Innovation and Incubation Center and Entrepreneur Cell. Sh. Sunil Dutt said that the program organized on the occasion of Science Day in the University campus, along with showcasing the achievements of the school students, also provides them an opportunity to know about the various efforts going on at the University level. This is a unique effort in itself and will definitely pave the way for achieving the objective of contribution of Indian technology in building a developed India.

Prof. A.K. Yadav and Prof. Harish Kumar, Convener of National Science Day Organizing Committee in the University, said that on the first day of this two-day event, departmental presentation, poster presentation, working model, best out of waste, speech, painting and quiz competitions focused on Idea for Innovation were organized in the main pandal, School of Engineering and Technology and Mini Auditorium. He said that two expert lectures and prize distribution ceremony is scheduled on 28th February. The patron of this program is the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar and Prof. Chetan Prakash Kaushik from Bhabha Atomic Research Center will be the Chief Guest while Prof. Amitava Sen Gupta of CSIR National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi will be present as a Guest of Honour.
