Bathinda, February 12:-Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, echoed with jubilation as it commemorated its 9th Foundation Day with immense enthusiasm.

The day was marked by religious fervor with a soulful kirtan and the offering of Bhog of Shri Sukhmani Sahib Path, symbolizing the university's reverence for its roots and guiding principles.

Bathinda MLA, Sardar Jagroop Singh Gill, and distinguished guests joined the celebrations, partaking in the communal feast of 'Guru Ka Langar' prepared by the university students.

Registrar Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar shed light on the teachings of Guru Sahiban, emphasizing the significance of paying homage to the legendary Maharaja Ranjit Singh, after whom the university is named.

Unity through Marathon: Adding a dash of athleticism and camaraderie, a marathon race involving teachers, staff, and students was organized, signifying the collective spirit and unity of purpose within the MRSPTU community. The race, flagged off by esteemed guest Dr. Kanwaljit Singh Sandhu, Dean of Academic Affairs, culminated at the Athletic ground, fostering a sense of achievement and togetherness.

Alumni Meet 2024 Highlights: The Alumni Meet, organized under the auspices of MRSPTU Alumni Association (MAA), provided a platform for former students to reconnect, reminisce, and share their success stories. Alumni from various batches and branches, spanning across different regions, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, and abroad, gathered to celebrate their alma mater's legacy.

Enriching Engagement: Beyond nostalgia, the Alumni Meet facilitates meaningful interactions, with alumni offering support and mentorship to current students. The event showcased a blend of tradition and innovation and activities like playing musical chair games, Pithu, tug of war, kite flying, lemon race, Cycle tyre race, slow Motorcycle race, slow Cycle race, dart game, pyramid break and ring the item etc. Potter, selfie points, props, gifts for kids, Surprise gifts by MRSPTU Alumni Association (MAA) executive members were the added attractions.

Er. Sanjay Verma (entrepreneur), Er. Pritam Goyal (Microsoft) and Er. Alka (Academician) shared their experience and valuable views with students of campus.

The videos of campus infrastructure, Suramtai, a documentary on life span of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the video clip of memories shared by alumni from across the globe were played at the auditorium.

The success of the event was attributed to the meticulous planning and coordination led by Prof. Rajesh Gupta and his team, with special mention to Programme Anchor Prof. Sunita Kotwal and Co-coordinators Er. Gagandeep Singh Sodhi and Er. Haramritpal Singh Sidhu.
