Chandigarh: 28^TH January 2024: State Bank of India Local Head Office Chandigarh celebrated 75^th Republic Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. Shri Vinod Jaiswal, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Chandigarh Circle unfurled the National Flag in the presence of senior officials, staff and families at Local Head Office Chandigarh.

Sh. Jaiswal congratulated the gathering on this auspicious occasion and remembered the contributions of the freedom fighters. Paying Salute to the armed forces he said that they are always alert and on the guard for protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Sh. Jaiswal applauded the launching of Digital currency by the Government as a green initiative and stressed upon the importance of going digital and called upon the staff to promote the adoption of digital platforms of banking to customers. In his address, he urged all staff to renew “our commitment to be the banker to every Indian, as we play our role in building a stronger and prosperous India”. He said providing good customer service and happiness is our daily work. Sh. Jaiswal also impressed upon the staff to maintain Swachchta at office, home and surroundings. Today SBI offers Banking Services to satisfy the needs of all sectors of the economy from Agriculture to Industry and Retail Customers to Corporate Customers. SBI emerged in 2022-23 as the highest profit-making company in the corporate world in India. Being the largest Bank with the highest asset base and outreach, SBI plays a pivotal role in the growth of the economy and contribute to making our country a developed Nation as per “Viksit Bharat” Policy.

General Managers Sh. Ajay Kumar Jha and Sh. Sujit Kumar along with DGMs and a large number of staff members with their families were present at the programme. On the occasion, a cultural Programme of patriotic songs was performed by the staff members and Members of SBI Ladies Club of the Bank.
