Action against Gambling/satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Sagir Ahmed R/o # 995, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh (Age-62 Years) while playing satta and recovered cash Rs. 3020/- from his possession near Govt. Tube well, Sector-25, Chandigarh on 23.09.2023. A case FIR No. 158, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

District Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Satpal R/o # 6594/1, Sector-56, Chandigarh (Age-57 years) while playing satta and recovered cash Rs. 9090/- from his possession at Park backside # 6594/1 Sector-56, Chandigarh on 23.09.2023. A case FIR No. 162, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two persons arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Mukesh Kumar @ Mukhi R/o # 679/1, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh (Age 45 years) and recovered 20 gm heroin from his possession near Plot No. 03, Sector-38/A, Chandigarh on 23.09.2023. A case FIR No. 161, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Mukesh Kumar R/o # 1433/28, Sector-29, Chandigarh (age 34 years) and recovered 50 gm heroin from his possession near Palsora, Sector 56, Chandigarh on 23.09.2023. A case FIR No. 114, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 95, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the statement of Sourabh R/o Shop No. 05, GTB Complex, Dhanas, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Kia Seltos car No. CH-01CG-2075 namely Maninder Singh @ Mani hit complainant’s Aunt (pedestrian) near Dhanas Market, Chandigarh on 23-09-2023. She sustained injuries and admitted to PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged car driver Maninder Singh @ Mani R/o Village-Khori, Distt- Ludhiana (PB) Age 37 Years has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 115, U/S 279 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sahil Kumar R/o # 715, DMC, Chandigarh who alleged that Vijay Kumar R/o # 121 Village-Behram, Distt-Bilaspur (HP) who was driving car No. PB-01B-3717 had hit complainant’s car No. CH-01BE-8390 near Dadu Majra Light Point, Chandigarh on 16-09-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.
