Two apprehended for theft

A case FIR No. 110, U/S 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh against two juveniles age 16 & 17 years who were apprehended near RC-1 School, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh with stolen black colour Pulsar Motor Cycle No. PB-70G-1657 on 20.09.2023. Both were sent to Juvenile Home, Sector-25, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Illicit liquor recovered

A case FIR No. 155, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh against unknown person who ran away after leaving one bag containing 6 halves and 116 quarters of country made liquor near Power Grid, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 21.09.2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating/Theft

A case FIR No. 74, U/S 420, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bhag Singh R/o Village-Burj, Distt-Panchkula, (HR) who reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs. 1.75 lakh, IDBI debit card & documents from his car No. CH01BN4044 by cheating him near IDBI Bank, Sector 8, Chandigarh on 20.09.2023. Investigation of case is in progress.

Criminal Breach of Trust

A case FIR No. 158, U/S 420, 406, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashish Sharma R/o Piramal Capital and Housing Finance Ltd. SCO No. 812-13, Main Market, Sector-22/A, Chandigarh alleged that Hemant Kumar Verma and others M/s Sushma Buildtech Ltd. availed financial assistance (housing loan) for purchase of property i.e. Flat No. D-302 on third floor, Village Zirakpur, Distt. S.A.S Nagar, Mohali, PB in the year 2017. Later they defaulted the EMI and cheated complainant’s company to the extent of Rs. 66,01,643/- (Rupees Sixty-six lakh one thousand six hundred forty three only). Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 159, U/S 420, 406, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ashish Sharma R/o SCO No. 811-12, Sector-22/A Chandigarh alleged that Ajay Thakur M/s Sushma Buildtech Ltd. availed financial assistance (housing loan) for purchase of property i.e. Flat No. D-402, Fourth Floor, Village Gazipur, M.C. Zirakpur, Distt. S.A.S Nagar, Mohali, PB in the year 2017. Later they defaulted the EMI and cheated complainant’s company to the extent of Rs. 75,59,192/- (Rupees Seventy-five lakh fifty-nine thousand one hundred ninety two only). Investigation of case is in progress.

Burglary

Omkar Mishra R/o Saini Mandir, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away two small silver idols of Kali Mata, one iron idol of Shanidev, two small silver idols of Lord Krishna and cash Rs 25000/- from 5 donation boxes from Shani Mandir, Ph-2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the night intervening 20/21-09-2023. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 160, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Kumbra, Mohali, PB who alleged that a lady resident Sector 16, Chandigarh driving car No. CH-01BE-1250 had hit complainant's father Mohinder Singh on Motor Cycle No. PB-27H-3908 at Sector-16, Chandigarh on 18-09-2023. He sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
