Majma-i-itihaaskar, the History Club of GGDSD College, hosted an Induction Ceremony, ‘Itihaas se Rubaru,’ on September 18^th, 2023. The event was designed with the purpose of reigniting the passion for history among the students, and it unfolded as a remarkable celebration of historical heritage.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Madhu Sharma, Vice Principal, GGDSD College. She extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest Dr. Dinesh Kumar.

This was followed by the enlightening and interactive session conducted by Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Senate Fellow, Associate Professor, Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Dr. Kumar delved into the profound importance of history as a subject, particularly for those aspiring to undertake the Civil Services Examinations. The event was concluded by Dr. M. Pramod, HOD, Department of History. He extended the vote of thanks and concluded the ceremony with his wise words.

The event had cultural performances like dance and musical performances that brought historical eras to life. Moreover, a historical quiz challenged participants to showcase their knowledge and passion for history.
