CHANDIGARH, JUNE 3: On the occasion of Kabir Jayanti, the Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Banwari Lal Purohit extended warmest greetings to the people of Punjab and Chandigarh.
In a message, the Governor said that saint Kabir's profound teachings of love, unity and harmony continue to resonate with us, transcending time and inspiring generations. His Vani in Sri Guru Granth Sahib kindles the conscious of human beings with special emphasis on purity of mind and exhorts the masses to lead a peaceful and purposeful life. He advocated the cause of our oppressed sections and propagated the message of casteless and classless society.
Shri Purohit appealed to the people to follow the teachings of the great spiritual master and strive for a society built on compassion, understanding and brotherhood.
