Chandigarh, May 29- Haryana Chief Minister said that the nine years of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's tenure has been dedicated to 'Jan seva'. He while rising over political ideology has always worked for the Nation, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

"The Prime Minister puts the country first and everything else second. With this pure intention, he is working assiduously to strengthen the nation on the world map and we will undoubtedly realize the Prime Minister's goal of transforming India from a developing country to a developed nation upon the conclusion of 100 years of independence in Amrit Kaal," said Sh. Manohar Lal while speaking at the programme, Maha Sampark Abhiyan held here today to celebrate the successful nine years of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi-led governmen

The Chief Minister said that in these nine years, on several occasions, every Indian felt proud, because over the past nine years, the Prime Minister had visited many nations around the world to restore India's status as a global power.

“The image that India has developed on a global scale now is also turning out to be advantageous to the countrymen. As a result of the Prime Minister's rising stature around the world, even the presidents of big nations have started referring to Modi as the 'Boss'," asserted Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister shared that he and the Prime Minister share a close bond. They have worked together for a very long time.

"During this period, while working with the Prime Minister, I used to closely observe that for him India was always first, while for leaders of other parties, the slogan was "Me first", said Sh. Manohar Lal.

He said that Sh. Narendra Modi is such an inspirational leader who never hesitates to introduce various public-friendly experiments.

"The Prime Minister has always given consideration to the wellbeing of the nation's citizens, its cultural heritage, and its future. Instead of being a politician, we are proud to have a Prime Minister who is a ‘True Statesman’, who considers the future," said Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister stated Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign, which was launched by Prime Minister in the year 2015 highlights Prime Minister’s concern for eradicating social taboos. With the help of the society, this campaign has received tremendous success, he added.

“Mann Ki Baat programme is another such example, as in this programme, the Prime Minister never talks about politics rather he highlights the talent and skill of the countrymen living in far-flung areas. This programme is a hit among the citizens as it has successfully aired 100 episodes, which already is a record,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

After Independence, India has got a leader who has a vision of ‘Changing India’

The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Prime Minister always works sensitively and has consistently strived to uplift the last mile citizen while upholding the spirit of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's Antyodaya Darshan.

He said that while many leaders, freedom fighters, and countrymen made supreme sacrifices for India's freedom, but India never got any leader like Sh. Narendra Modi, who has a vision of changing India.

Central Government working on 5S strategy

The Chief Minister stated that the Central Government, under the competent leadership of the Prime Minister is working on Antyodaya Utthan as well as the 5S strategy – shiksha (education), swasthya (health), suraksha (security), swavlamban (self-reliance) and swabhiman (self-respect). The National Education Policy-2020, which has been put into effect across the country, aims to awaken the national spirit in children by combining new technology with traditional teaching methods.

Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Sh. Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the Congress tenure was really the worst decade for India and Indians from amongst all the other bad decades in the history of Independent India.

Security of all the airstrips across the state should be ensured - Deputy Chief Minister

Chandigarh, May 29 – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala directed the officers to ensure the security arrangements of all airstrips across the state whether by appointing security guards or taking the assistance of local police.

The Deputy CM, who also holds the charge of Civil Aviation, presided over the meeting of officers of the Civil Aviation Department here today.

On this occasion, he reviewed various security arrangements including ATS (Air Traffic Control), fire-system, hangar at all the air-strips of the state. He directed the officers to ensure fire-tenders at all air-strips at the earliest so that plane landing etc. on the air-strips could be safe.

He said that these fire-tenders services can also be utilised in hours of emergency at nearby areas, which will help in protecting the life and property of the citizens of the state.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala informed that he had visited Bhiwani and Bachhod, Narnaul airstrips where he interacted with the youth undergoing pilot training. During his visit Deputy CM also inquired about their issues. The Deputy Chief Minister gave directions to resolve the issues pointed out by these trainees.

He also directed the officers to prepare such a proposal so that maximum youth of Haryana could be given pilot training.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that work on several projects is being done by the Civil Aviation Department in Haryana, positive changes will be seen in the state in future.

Reviewed the preparations for the first phase

Chandigarh, May 29 - Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala directed the officers to start the work of elevated roads in Hisar soon so that the traffic congestion within the city could be reduced. He directed to prepare this work in a phased manner.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of Public Works Department, presided over a meeting of PWD (Public Works Department) officers here today.

On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, OSD to Deputy Chief Ministe, Sh. Kamlesh Bhadoo and other senior officers were present.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala informed after the meeting that about 8.5-kilometer-long elevated road will be constructed by the Public Works Department on the old 'Delhi-Hisar-Sirsa Road' in Hisar. This road will be built from Sirsa Chungi to the flyover near Jindal Factory. It will have 7 entry and 7 exit points. He added that through this project people will get relief from traffic congestion in Sector-14, Bus Stand, Nagori Gate, Police Line Area, Urban Estate, Dabra Chowk, Model Town, Sector 9-11 areas coming on the way. He informed that the DPR for this elevated road has been prepared and cost of the project is estimated around Rs. 723 crores.

Government declares increase in tax rebate from 10 to 30 percent

Chandigarh, May 29 - The Haryana Government has taken a significant step towards ensuring ease and convenience for the citizens by offering a 30 percent rebate in the interest amount on depositing property tax by July 31, 2023. This rebate, which was previously only 10 percent, has been increased by a whopping 20 percent by the government, providing great relief to all sections residing in urban areas.

An official spokesperson of the Urban Local Bodies Department highlighted how the government has streamlined the process of paying property tax in Haryana, making it easier than ever before. The government is also spreading awareness about this scheme to ensure that the maximum number of people can avail 30 percent rebate in the interest amount of property tax.

The spokesperson urged the people to inform and motivate the defaulters to deposit their property tax and take advantage of this government scheme. Those who have pending property tax dues should deposit their tax as soon as possible as this step would generate revenue in the Municipalities which can be used for other development works.

Chandigarh, May 29- The first unit of North India's inaugural nuclear power plant, situated in Gorakhpur village, Fatehabad district, Haryana is likely to commence operations in June 2028.

The information was given in the meeting presided over by the Chief Secretary, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal regarding the coordination of officers of Haryana Government and Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana (GHAVP) here today.

During the meeting, Mr. Kaushal directed power utility officers to expedite the relocation of HT/LT lines and provide 33 KV power connection for the plant site from an alternative source in order to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the project.

Furthermore, Mr. Kaushal directed the Public Works Department (B and R) and the Fatehabad district administration to conduct a joint feasibility study of road from the National Highway to the project sites. Such an access route would facilitate the smooth transportation of heavy lifts and Over Dimension Consignments (ODC) to the site.

Providing an update on the project's progress, Project Director, GHAVP, Mr. Niranjan Kumar Mittal informed that 74 percent of the ground improvement work has been completed. Additionally, essential equipment such as end shields and steam generators for the first unit, along with critical reactor components, have been received at the site.

As part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Gorakhpur, the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has so far invested Rs. 39.08 crore. This funding has been utilized for various development projects, including the construction of a metalled road along the left bank of the Fatehabad branch canal from Kajalheri to Gorakhpur, the establishment of classrooms, labs, libraries, and toilets in nearby schools, the construction of Gaushalas in Gorakhpur, the creation of a Turtle Conservation Park in Kajalheri, and the provision of a mobile medical van for free treatment and distribution of medications. Additionally, efforts have been made to enhance the skills of locals and provide scholarships to deserving students.

Regarding the residential township being constructed at Agroha and the ongoing progress of eight multi-storey residential towers and related amenities, Mr. Kaushal stated that they are in an advanced stage of construction. Occupancy of these facilities is expected by June 2023.

Two Home Guard Officials Apprehended for Bribery Charges

Chandigarh, May 29 - The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a Clerk and a Peon from the Home Guard department in Faridabad on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe amounting to Rs 2500.

The ACB spokesperson shared this information today, shedding light on the unlawful activities conducted by the accused.

The arrested accused have been identified as Jitender, serving as a Clerk, and Vijender Phawa, working as a Peon. Acting promptly on a complaint filed by Vishal Verma, a resident of Nangla Enclave, Faridabad, the ACB took swift action to apprehend the accused officials.

It was reported that both Jitender and Vijender had demanded a bribe of Rs 2500 from Vishal Verma, who is a Home Guard volunteer, in exchange for his re-enrollment in the Home Guard. The ACB team, acting on this complaint, promptly organized a raid to catch the accused in the act. The raid conducted by the ACB team led to the arrest of both officials while they were accepting the bribe. The entire operation was conducted in the presence of independent witnesses, ensuring transparency and fairness.

A case has been registered against the accused individuals at the Faridabad ACB police station. The investigation into the matter is ongoing, as the ACB aims to gather all relevant evidence to support the charges brought against them.
