Jalandhar:27.05.23- Olympics-2020 gold medal winner, and history creating in the domain of Indian athletics; LPU student Neeraj Chopra is now announced ‘World No. 1’ in the latest men’s javelin throw rankings by the World Athletics.
With 1455 points, Neeraj Chopra has topped the rankings, 22 points ahead of his immediate rival, and up till now champion- Grenada's Anderson Peters.
Congratulating the ace-javelin throwing athlete of the country and LPU, Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal expressed his immense happiness, and described it as an encouragement to all men-women athletes of the country and the university to keep on persevering with their winning sports skills. Chancellor Dr Mittal also inspires all others at LPU to keep on scaling the winning ladders.
