CHANDIGARH,27.03.23-Senior Government Officials from Myanmar participating in 21st International Public Health Management Development Program at PGIMER Chandigarh. "Sharing the knowledge with others increases the knowledge of an individual and the community"; remarked Dr. Yajvender Pal Verma, Registrar of Panjab University, Chandigarh

while inaugurating the 10 Day International Public Health Management Development Program (IPHMDP) organized by Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, PGIMER. While launching the program, Dr. Sonu Goel, the Program Director and Professor department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, stated “Over 1000 individuals from 80 countries had enhanced their skills through this flagship program over the past seven years. This year, senior level policy makers from Myanmar are attending the program to address
the specific public health challenges of their country".

Prof. Arun K Aggarwal, Head of Department of Community medicine and School of Public Health, welcomed the delegates and reaffirmed that the program would help to promote effective management and leadership techniques and the institute promotes such programs which build inter country and inter institutional collaborations. "Such cooperative learning initiatives aid participating country in developing action plans to address public health challenges of shared interest",said Prof. Aggarwal.

During the 10-day program, the delegates shall be showcased the good practices of the institute and smart city concept of Chandigarh which they shall replicate in their respective countries.
