One arrested in snatching case

A case FIR No. 40, U/S 379A, 411, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Chandigarh who alleged that Jatin R/o Near Balmiki Mandir, DMC, Sector-38W, Chandigarh (age-19 yrs) and Rahul R/o # 1641, DMC, Sector-38W, Chandigarh (age-21 yrs), both on Activa No. CH-01CC-1725 snatched a mobile from the complainant near Bus Stop Ramdarbar on 26-03-2023, but they were caught on the spot by the complainant with the help of public persons. Both Accused arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh reported that three unknown persons on motorcycle snatched away mobile phone from the complainant near Namdhari turn, Marble Market, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 26-03-2023. A case FIR No. 20, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A case FIR No. 24, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Auchitya Sharma R/o # 22/347, Baldev Nagar, Ambala City (Hry) who reported that unknown person stole away two Lenovo Laptops, one Redmi Phone, one purse containing debit card, credit card and some id’s from complainant’s car No HR-01AV-1139 parked near Stairs no. 2, Sukhna Lake parking on 25-03-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 27, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ajay Jagga R/o # 231, Sector-21/A, Chandigarh who reported that complainant had called to German Embassy New Delhi to send new year greeting to legal section of embassy at Delhi. But due to some problem the call was disconnected. In the meantime he received a call from an unknown person who presented himself as embassy official and illegally debited Rs. 87000/- from his account by sending him VFS global payment form through message on 29-12-2022. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police has busted a nexus of Immoral Trafficking by arresting (4) four accused from SPAs Centers from Sector-8, Chandigarh

Chandigarh Police has busted a nexus of Immoral Trafficking by arresting (4) four accused from SPAs Centers from Sector-8, Chandigarh. It has come to notice that some Immoral Trafficking activities are being running in SPAs Centers in Chandigarh. On this information, raids were conducted at SPAs Centers in Sector-8, Chandigarh where Immoral Trafficking activities were noticed. On this, a case FIR No. 25 dated 26.3.2023 u/s 3,4,5,6, of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act 1956 was registered in Police Station Sector-3, Chandigarh and arrested (4) four accused persons namely Gurmeet Singh, Atik Rahman, Vinod @ Vicky and Vikas. During the course of investigation, all the above said accused persons were produced before the Ld. Court and all sent to judicial custody remand for 14 days. The further investigation of the case is going on. I
