One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu R/o Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh (Age 37 years) while consuming liquor at public place and creating nuisance near Wine Shop, Kishangarh, Chandigarh on 21.03.2023. A case FIR No. 16, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that her husband & others resident of Panchkula (HR) harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 14, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 31, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the statement of Ram Balli R/o # 1381, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Motor Cycle No. PB-12AC-9664 namely Jarnail Singh R/o Village Lodhimajra, City Rupnagar, Distt. Ropar (PB) hit complainant’s father namely Ganga Ram (Cyclist) near Snehalaya Maloya, Chandigarh on 20-03-2023. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted to GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Alleged person was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
