Action against Gambling/satta

Chandigarh Police arrested Neeraj R/o # 652, Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh (Age-23 Years) while playing satta and recovered cash Rs. 1150/- from his possession near Park, Railway Road, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 18.03.2023. A case FIR No. 34, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 15, U/S 323, 341, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mahesh Kumar R/o # 15, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh who alleged that Gurnam Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Paramjeet Singh @ Pamma all R/o # 963, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh assaulted complainant and his family members with sticks and sharp weapons in front of H.No. 1601, Kishangarh, Chandigarh on 18.03.2023. Complainant & his wife, mother and son all sustained injuries and admitted to Civil Hospital, Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 19, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Burail, Sector-45, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. CH01-CC-8368 namely Saubhagya Vardan R/o # 2367, BSNL Society, Sec-50, Chandigarh hit complainant and her son (both on a cycle) near Community Center, Sector-50, Chandigarh on 15.03.2023. She got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A case FIR No. 20, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kulwinder Kumar, J.E. (Roads), Executive Engineer CP Division No. 01, Sector-9, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person stole away two railing stainless steel poles along with four stainless steel wires (280 running meters) from Entry Point, Purav Marg, UT Boundary, Sector-48, Chandigarh on 12.03.2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Recovery of Drugs

A case FIR No. 21, U/S 52-A The Prisons (Punjab Amendments Act) 2011 and 20, 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amandeep Singh, Addl. Superintendent, Model Jail, Chandigarh against convict Vikram @ Dubai from whom 37.4 gm ganja/sulpha, 6.1 gm heroin/smack was recovered from his possession during his personal while he surrendered at Model Jail after expiry of parole on 18.03.2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.
