Four arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Ajay R/o Naya Gaon, Distt. Mohali (PB) Age 28 Years while consuming liquor at public place and creating nuisance near New OPD Gate, PGI, Chandigarh on 16-03-2023. A case FIR No. 46, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Vishal Singh Thakur R/o Omex City, New Chandigarh (Age 32 Years) while consuming liquor at public place and creating nuisance at back side Oyster Hotel, Sector-17, Chandigarh on 16-03-2023. A case FIR No. 35, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Dharmindra Singh R/o Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age 31 Years) while consuming liquor at public place and creating nuisance near SCO No. 1064-65, Sector-22/B, Chandigarh on 16-03-2023. A case FIR No. 36, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Dharminder Singh R/o BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh (Age 37 Years) while consuming liquor at public place and creating nuisance near Wine Shop, TPT Area, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 16-03-2023. A case FIR No. 34, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for possessing illicit liquor

Chandigarh Police arrested Krishan @ Don R/o DMC, Sector-38/West, Chandigarh (Age 52 Years) while he was illegally possessing 50 quarters of country liquor from his possession near Shitla Mata Mandir, DMC, Chandigarh on 16-03-2023. A case FIR No. 30, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One person arrested under Arms Act

Chandigarh police arrested Rahul @ Chochla R/o Jhuggi No. 61/2, Bhatta Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh (Age 21 Years) and recovered one flick Knife from his possession near Tube well, Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 16.03.2023. A case FIR No. 31 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station-Mauli Jagran, UT Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 26, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sushant S. Guleria R/o # 187-C, A-3 Block, Silver City Dera Bassi, PB who alleged that unknown driver of Truck No. HP-19D-4925 sped away after hitting complainant’s MotorCycle No. CH-01AR-3893 near Chandigarh Sweets, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 04-03-2023. He got injured and was admitted to hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Anil Kumar R/o # 130, Village-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away gold mangal sutar, two pairs of earrings, two silver chains, 4 silver bracelets and cash Rs 50,000/- after breaking the locks of his house on 15-03-2023. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
