Four arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Chandigarh Police arrested Vikas, Shiv Kumar and Ravi Kumar all resident of Ramdarbar, Chandigarh while they were consuming liquor and creating nuisance at SCO No. 35, Market, Sector 28C, Chandigarh on 03.08.2022. A case FIR No. 99 U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. They were later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Kaushal resident of Village Faidan Nizampur, Chandigarh while he was consuming liquor and creating nuisance near outer gate ISBT, Sector 43, Chandigarh on 03.08.2022. A case FIR No. 140 U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Gurmanter Singh R/o H.No. 181, Mander Nagar, Kharar, Mohali, PB (Age-44 years) and recovered 22 boxes and 120 bottles of country made liquor from his possession in car No. PB65Q-5389 near Sector 33/34 light point on 04.08.2022. A case FIR No. 126, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Bintoo R/o Jhuggi No. 23, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh (Age-29 years) and recovered 50 quarters of country made liquor from his possession near Railway crossing, near NIC, Manimajra on 04.08.2022. A case FIR No. 49, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-IT park, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Arrest in Theft
Tejinder Singh, Security Guard, GH-11, PU Campus, Sector 25, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away aluminum windows, taps, showers, aluminum tower, bolt, electrical items, from GH-11, PU Campus, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 28.07.2022. Later a person namely Gautam R/o # 2504, DBC, Sector 25, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 91, U/S 380 IPC added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 79 U/S 406, 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ajay Kumar, AGM, SCO No. 90-91-92, Allahabad Bank Now Indian, Sector 8/C , Chandigarh who alleged that Avril traders Pvt. Ltd. through its directors Baldev Chand Bansal, Shop No. 140, Dariya, Chandigarh and Tarjinder Kumar Bansal, # 233, Sector 7, Panchkula, (HR) and others approached Allahabad Bank, Sector8-C, Chandigarh for availing the facility of CC limit in the year 2000. The CC Limit of Rs. 35 lakhs was sanctioned in the year 2000 which was later enhanced to Rs. 1.00 crore on 16.3.11. Alleged persons after availing the said CC limit amount Rs. 1,78,72,341/- failed to regularize the account, as a consequence thereof, the account was classified as NPA on 31.03.2016. All the accused in connivance with each other to defraud the bank transferred the mortgaged property and started raising construction for which they have no right or concern. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 127, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady, Project Coordinator, Punjab Skill Development Mission, SCO No. 149-152, 2nd floor, Sector 17C, Chandigarh reported that Ajay Sachdeva and other directors of M/S Edu Light Carriers Pvt Ltd, D-234, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur (RJ) were given worker order to provide vocational training to 352 candidates in District Ropar (PB) as per MOU signed 29.09.2016. A sum of Rs. 45,04,395/- was deposited for said work order but alleged persons did not perform the job work for which amount was deposited. Investigation of the case is in progress.
