Chandigarh, August 5 — Haryana Labour Minister, Anil Vij said that the relocation of the Deputy Labour Commissioner’s office to Ambala Cantonment is a very significant development.

While interacting with media persons today, He said that two rooms have been taken in the Ambala Sadar Municipal Council for the office setup, and it is expected that the inauguration will take place this week or next week; a permanent office/location will also be established. As a result, workers and industry owners from about six or seven surrounding districts will come to the labour court in Ambala Cantonment instead of Panchkula, which will benefit Ambala since their matters will be resolved there.

Transport Minister Anil Vij said that a state‑of‑the‑art driving training school (IDTR) is being built on 13 acres of land in Shahpur, Ambala Cantonment, and an MOU has been signed with Ashok Leyland. All types of certificates will be issued there and training will be provided accordingly. A hostel is also being constructed for trainees, which will include a mess and a yoga hall. Approximately two thousand people will be able to obtain new licences each year at the driving training school, and around twenty thousand renewals can be processed.


On the question of the BJP’s annual “Tiranga” campaign, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that before August 15 every year, programs such as “Har Ghar Tiranga,” Tiranga rallies, and other events are organized to honor the national flag.


*ESI nurses to be given Nursing Officer rank: Vij


Regarding giving ESI nurses the Nursing Officer rank, Labour Minister Anil Vij said that when he was Health Minister, nursing staff were granted the Nursing Officer rank based on seniority. Similarly, ESI nurses are now being granted the Nursing Officer rank.


On another question, Energy Minister Anil Vij, taking a jab at former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, said that Kejriwal opposes everything — he even opposes air and water — and that has become part of his habit.
