Chandigarh, April 29 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Sh.Anil Vij said that there is a strong wave in favor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi across the country, and the Bharatiya Janata Party will win in West Bengal. Reacting to the incidents taking place in West Bengal, he said these are happening out of frustration.
Sh. Vij was responding to questions from media persons in Panipat regarding the ongoing voting in West Bengal.
He said that in previous elections held across the country—in states like Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, and Maharashtra—the BJP has emerged victorious, and it will win in Bengal as well. He added that the incidents occurring in West Bengal are due to frustration. He also said that for the first time, people in Kolkata are voting fearlessly, and this has led to a higher voter turnout.
Responding to a question about incidents involving police and officials, he said that the criminal culture there is very old and has existed under previous governments. However, he added that their leaders have stated on various platforms that after May 4, even at 2:00 AM, women will be able to move safely in West Bengal.
On being asked about Raghav Chadha joining the BJP, he said that his joining will be beneficial. He also stated that Raghav Chadha has not come alone—seven Rajya Sabha MPs have joined together with him, breaking away from the Aam Aadmi Party.
Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party, he said that the party, which once spoke about and projected itself as a force against corruption and was built on support from Anna Hazare’s movement, has now strayed from its core issues. He added that even their own MPs are now saying that the party has moved away from its original agenda. He further mentioned that the Rajya Sabha Chairman has recognized the membership of all these MPs.
