CHANDIGARH,, April 9th: Thousands of students thronged to Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Chandigarh, for the vibrant, annual cultural festival, Virasat 2026 today. The two-day extravaganza will showcase a diverse range of traditional and contemporary performances, highlighting India's rich cultural heritage.
The inaugural day featured an engaging and eclectic mix of group and solo performances, including Nati, Bhangra, Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Bollywood, and Hollywood dance forms. The music segment highlighted Himachali and Punjabi folk traditions, adding depth to the cultural narrative. Live shows by Haqiqat and Swastik Band energized the audience.
Chief Guest Surbi Garg, IRS, Deputy Commissioner, Excise and Taxation, Chandigarh, lauded the initiative, stating, “It was heartening to witness such vibrant participation, where young people actively engaged with and celebrated their cultural heritage.
