Mahendergarh, 13.09.25-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, has entered into a strategic partnership with Green Earth – Organization for Environment, Health, Safety & Sanitation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing collaborative efforts in key areas of environmental protection, public health, safety, and sanitation.

The MoU marks the beginning of a meaningful engagement between the two organizations, laying the foundation for impactful initiatives for creating a zero waste campus as well as student training, and community outreach activities. This initiative reflects CUH’s continuedcommitment to sustainable development and societal well-being.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor in his address, highlighted the importance of partnerships that bridge academic knowledge with real-world impact. This MoU will strengthen our efforts in addressing critical challenges related to the environment, health, and sanitation through innovation and collaboration, he stated. Further he added, it also reflects CUH’s vision to contribute meaningfully to societal well-being through academic excellence and practical engagement.

Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, expressed his optimism about the collaboration, stating: This MoU is a timely and strategic move towards fostering interdisciplinary partnerships that can deliver real change in the fields of environment to achieve sustainable development.

Dr. Naresh Bhardwaj, Director of Green Earth, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying: Partnering with CUH is a significant step for us in scaling up our initiatives. Together, we can foster a culture of environmental responsibility and health consciousness among students and the broader community.

Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar, also shared his thoughts, saying:
Such collaborations are essential for bridging the gap between institutional knowledge and community needs.

Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Dean Research shared their thoughts that we are confident that this partnership will open new avenues for research, training, and outreach that align with our University’s mission. Prof. Surender Singh, Director IQAC said It will not only enrich student learning but also contribute directly to community development and environmental sustainability. Prof. Kanti Prakash Sharma from the Department of Nutrition Biology also shared his views, stating: This collaboration presents a unique opportunity to integrate environmental sustainability with human health and nutrition, fostering holistic development in research and community welfare.

This initiative was spearheaded by Prof. Mona Sharma from the Department of Environmental Studies, who played a pivotal role in facilitating the collaboration. During the ceremony, she introduced the vision and ongoing initiatives of Green Earth Organization, highlighting their impactful work in areas such as waste management, environmental education, public health awareness, and sanitation drives. The collaboration with Green Earth is an opportunity to integrate academic knowledge with grassroots action.
Dr. Monika Bhardwaj, Executive Member of Green Earth, added:
We look forward to co-developing innovative programs with CUH that address both local and global environmental challenges. The engagement of young minds will be crucial in driving sustainable change.
