MAHENDERGARH, 11.05.25-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergah in collaboration with the Fire Department, Mahendragarh, organized an impactful session on "Fire Safety and Collateral Damage Awareness" today on its campus. The event was aimed at educating university residents about emergency response, fire prevention, and minimizing damage in crisis situations.
The awareness session, held at CUH, included an informative lecture and a live fire-fighting demonstration by expert personnel from the Fire Department. The initiative comes as a reminder of the need for civil preparedness in times of peace and emergency alike.
In his opening remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar emphasized the importance of awareness and readiness in emergency situations. He highlighted how lessons from conflicts remain relevant today, not only for national security but also for campus and community safety.
The Fire Department team was honored by the Vice Chancellor for their service and valuable contribution to public safety. The security team was also commended for successfully organizing the session in a short time frame, ensuring maximum participation from students, staff, mess workers, and campus residents.
