As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) awareness campaign, a Nukkad Natak (street play) was organised today at Sector 17 Plaza, Chandigarh, to educate and motivate citizens about the importance of the SIR process.

The camp was inaugurated by Hon’ble Speaker Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, Hayana Vidhan Sabha, Chandigarh. He was welcomed by Ms. Punam Malik, Nodal Officer-cum-Superintendent, Red Cross. Other senior officers, Sh. Pankaj, IAS, Sh. Rajiv Prashad, Secretary, Haryana Vidhan Sabha and MLAs from 08 different constituencies of Haryana were also present on the occasion to encourage the noble cause.

The Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, today inaugurated the Model Immunization Centre (MIC) and launched the State-Level Pulse Polio Campaign at the Urban Community Health Centre (UCHC), Sector 22, Chandigarh. The Hon’ble Governor was accompanied by Shri V.P. Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh.

The flag of the 3rd Asian Relays Championships 2027 was today presented to the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, at the UT Secretariat. The flag was formally handed over to Chandigarh during the closing ceremony of the 2nd Asian Relays Championships 2026 held at Shaoxing, China. It was brought to Chandigarh by Shri Sorabh Kumar Arora, Director Sports, UT Chandigarh Administration, who represented Chandigarh Administration at the championship.

The Chandigarh Administration has sought urgent intervention from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, to stop the proposed auction of heritage furniture associated with Chandigarh scheduled to be held in Paris, France, on June 25, 2026, and to facilitate the recovery and repatriation of the items to India.

A delegation of the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), Chandigarh Chapter, and the Media Federation of India (MFI), led by President Dr. Rupesh Singh, called on Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria and invited him to grace the 7th Entrepreneur & Achiever Awards 2026 as the Chief Guest.
