CHANDIGARH,29.02.20-The Forest Hill Golf & Country Club has launched its Junior Golf Programme for 2020 by announcing the 1st Junior Golf Championship which will be conducted on 23rd March at the club. This will be followed by more junior events and coaching camps over the next few months.
Launching the Junior Golf Programme President of the Club Sh. Birinder Singh Gill said "Non-Members of the club from neighbouring cities and states will also be participating in all our junior events. In addition to the amazing prizes on offer, each participant will also be given a top of the line Golf Umbrella. A Beginners Category has also been created in this Championship so as to give all skill levels exposure to an event like this”.
The tournament will have a total of 7 categories: Category A (Under 18 years) ; Category B (Under 15 years) ; Category C (Under 13 years) ; Category D (Under 11 years) ; Category E (Under 9 years) ; Category F (Under 7 years) ; Category G (Beginners). The event will be played over 18 holes on a Gross format in all categories. However, Category E & F will play 9 holes only. Category G will do Putting.
There will be 3 prizes in each category for boys and girls. The prize distribution ceremony will be in the afternoon just after the tournament. Last date of entry is 18th March.
