Bhisham Panday R/o Room No. 36, MLA Hostel, Sector-4A, Chandigarh alleged that former employees Karan R/o # 37, Sector-10, Chandigarh and Arjun R/o # Gurunanak Gym Wali Gali, Adarsh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Mohali (PB) stole away compressor of AC and motor of ducting cooler from terrace of Booth No. 45, Sector-9D, Chandigarh on 24.01.2020. A case FIR No. 06, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Alleged person have been arrested in this case. Investigation of case is in progress.

IT Act

Dr. Vipul Aggarwal R/o # 541, Sector-11-B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person called to complainant regarding refund process from paytm and sent some links at registered his mobile number on 30.12.2020. Complainant was asked to share personal details to initiate refund process. Later, complainant received transactions messages of total Rs. 40,000/- from his SBI Accounts. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 420 IPC & 66C, 66D IT Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that unknown person uploading her family photographs on facebook website without complainant’s knowledge and consent. A case FIR No. 14, U/S 66C IT Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.


A case FIR No. 25, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of a girl (pedestrian) resident of Sector 37D, Chandigarh against unknown driver of unknown car which was sped away after hitting to complainant near Sector 37/38/40/41 chowk, Chandigarh on 19.01.2020. Complainant got injured and admitted in hospital. Investigation of case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 11, U/S 135(1)(B), 135 (1)(D) Electricity Act 2003 has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of SDO, Electricity Operations, Sub Division No.9, Sector-43, Chandigarh against Pal Singh R/o # 437, Village Kajehri, Chandigarh, who was using electricity through direct (Kundi) connection since his electricity meters had been disconnected. Investigation of case is in progress.

Shri Sudesh Kumar remained posted as MHC of various police stations and did excellent job for maintaining record which was appreciated by his senior officers during every inspection of Police Station. He used to assist the Station House Officer in the investigation of heinous offences to solve the murder and Rape cases. He was also a member SIT formed to enquiry a complaint made by Dolly Bindra against Radhe Maa. He passed SAAT of UN and on 23' March, 2014 he, was deployed in United Nation Mission in Liberia. While he was in UN mission in Liberia, he was travelling in UN Helicopter flight no. UN161 from Monrovia to Barcleville which was crash landed. Sh. Sudesh Kumar being traumatized himself extracted the injured crew member (Flight Engineer). He shows his selfless act to help others and in doing-so putting his life in danger injuring him took out the injured Flight Engineer from the cockpit of crashed Helicopter. His swift action went a long way in ensuring the well being of the injured flight engineer. He also demonstrated his bravery, professional and courageous dedication to duty to ensure safety and security at the site of the incident as it was imminent risk of catching the fire and exploding. For this act, he was awarded with a Courageous Service Award by UN Police Commissioner, United Nations Mission in Liberia on 15th February, 2015.


Special Checking Exercise by Chandigarh Police in view of forthcoming Republic Day-2020.

Keeping in view of Republic Day-2020 and prevailing security scenario, QRTs/special team of Operations Cell, Sector-26, Chandigarh, Dog Squad, Bomb Disposal team of Chandigarh Police, force from Police Post, Sector-17, Chandigarh, force from Police Station Sector-19, Chandigarh and Bomb Disposal team of army from Chandimandir have conducted special checking exercise to avoid any untoward incident in the city. The checking was undertaken for the maintenance of law & order and also for the purpose of safety and security of citizens especially Women & Children. The checking was conducted at busy/crowded places i.e. ISBT, Sector-17, Chandigarh, markets of Sector-19, Chandigarh. The incoming buses from other States especially Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir were checked from anti-explosive/sabotage point of view at ISBT, Sector-17, Chandigarh. Further the checking was carried out at Sector-19 market. The vehicles parked in the area were checked thoroughly. Special attention was paid towards unclaimed baggage and objects.

This special checking drive was conducted under the direction of Sh. Vineet Kumar, IPS, SP/Operations, U.T., Chandigarh. The checking was conducted by the Operations Cell staff headed by Insp. Jasminder Singh under the close supervision of DSP/Operations and East, Sh. Dilsher Singh Chandel.
