Chandigarh, December 6 - Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Dushyant Chautala said that the employment department will work vigorously to provide maximum employment to the State youth and in the next two to three months, the youth who will register themselves on the employment department website will get a unique ID, based on this unique ID, youth will be provided employment in industries and other institutions.

The Deputy Chief Minister was presiding over the State-Level meeting of the employment the department held in the Gurugram today. He said in future the State Government will try to provide a unique ID to the unemployed youth who will be applying for jobs through Haryana Staff Selection Commission and Haryana Public Service Commission.

Mr. Chautala said that the schedule of the job fair should be sent from the headquarters to the districts and the local MLA should also be invited to this fair. He said that the participation of the local MLA will also increase the participation of the youth in the job fair. Apart from this, work will also be done to make the department paperless and under this, the entire functioning of the State employment department should be digitized, the Minister added.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Employment Department, Mr. T.C. Gupta informed that under the Saksham Yuva Yojana, the youth under the age group of 18 to 35 are being given employment opportunities in various departments. Earlier, the department used to provide 100 hours of employment to postgraduate and graduate students and now 12th pass students have also been included in this scheme.

He said that under the Saksham Yuva Yojana 16 thousand 683 postgraduate and 23 thousand 419 graduate youths were provided employment opportunities and an amount of Rs 619 crore has been spent on this. He said that the department's endeavor is to provide employment opportunities to more and more youth in the private sector.

He informed that so far 480 job fair has been organized, through which employment has been provided to more than 33 thousand youths. At present, 7 lakh 50 thousand youths are registered on the department’s website.

The meeting will be held on December 9, 2019. Director, Haryana Higher Education Department, Mr. A. Sreenivas will chair the meeting.

Sharing more information in this regard, a spokesman of the department said that the principals and nodal officers of government colleges in Panchkula, Ambala, Karnal, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar districts will attend the meeting scheduled at Shiksha Sadan, Panchkula. The Spokesman said that in the meeting discussion and suggestions will be sought from the principals and the nodal officers to finalize the vehicle routes.

Haryana Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Mrs. Kamlesh Dhanda said that Bhagavad Gita is not only a great spiritual book but also an art of living.

Chandigarh, December 6 – Haryana Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Mrs. Kamlesh Dhanda said that Bhagavad Gita is not only a great spiritual book but also an art of living. She said that the State Government is organizing Gita Jayanti Mahotsav at both International and district level, to connect the younger generations with the knowledge and the moral values of Bhagavad Gita.

The Minister was addressing the people after inaugurating and observing the exhibition at the district level Gita Jayanti Mahotsav held at Bhai Uday Singh Fort Complex in Kaithal today. On this occasion, the Minister performed Yajana and prayed for the smooth conduct of the ceremony.

The Minister of State said that it is a matter of pride for Haryana that Lord Krishna gave the immortal message of Gita on the holy earth of Kurukshetra. In 18 chapters and 700 verses of the Gita, the real meaning of life is explained to human beings.

She said that the State Government is organizing Gita Jayanti Mahotsav at the district level to spread the knowledge and the moral values of Bhagwad Gita to every household. She said that with the efforts of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal,in 2016, Government of Haryana organized International Gita Mahotsav to mark the Gita Jayanti, while the Mahotsav celebrations are now expanded to Mauritius and London.

The Minister called upon the people to understand the real knowledge hidden in each word of the Gita and try to execute it in their lives. She said that with the knowledge of Gita, every human being gets courage and strength to deal with every difficulty and trouble of life. She said that the State Government is organizing various exhibitions based on Gita knowledge, Essay writing, Shlok Ucharan, and Shobha Yatra to spread the message of Gita among people.

In the three-day exhibition organized during the Gita Mahotsav, the Minister of State observed the publicity material displayed related to the welfare schemes of the government. She also participated in the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, Gita Aarti

The Minister also visited various stalls set up by different departments and institutions in the exhibition and also got information about the exhibition from the officers of the department concerned.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Kaithal, Dr. Priyanka Soni, presented a memento and shawl to the Mrs. Kamlesh Dhanda.

73.79 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of paddy has so far arrived in Mandis of Haryana

Chandigarh, December 6: More than 73.79 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of paddy has so far arrived in Mandis of Haryana as compared to over 73.17 lakh MT of paddy arrived during the corresponding period last year.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival of paddy, government agencies had so far procured over 64.13 lakh MT of paddy whereas the remaining quantity of over 9.65 lakh MT of paddy was procured by the millers and dealers.

He said that more than 34.87 lakh MT of paddy have been purchased by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department whereas, over 19.84 lakh MT of paddy has been procured by Hafed, over 9.37 lakh MT by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 4,725 MT by the Food Corporation of India.

He further said that more than 17.49 lakh MT paddy has arrived in mandis of district Karnal followed by over 11.42 lakh MT in district Kurukshetra, over 8.82 lakh MT in district Ambala, over 8.34 lakh MT in Fatehabad, over 7.67 lakh MT in Kaithal, over 7.28 lakh MT in Yamunanagar, over 2.68 lakh MT in Sonepat, over 2.10 lakh MT in Sirsa, over 1.92 lakh MT in Jind, over 1.61 lakh MT in Panchkula, over 1.39 lakh MT in Panipat, over 1.21 lakh MT in Palwal, 1.20 lakh MT in Hisar, 36,947 MT in Rohtak, 14,148 MT in Faridabad, and 8,653 MT in Mewat.

He said that more than 2.69 lakh metric tonnes of bajra has arrived in the mandis of Haryana so far as compared to 1.80 lakh metric tonnes of bajra arrived during the corresponding period last year. Out of the total arrival of bajra, more than 2.67 lakh metric tonnes have been procured by government procurement agencies.
