CM inaugurates State Level Hamir Utsav at Hamirpur

SHIMLA,06.12.19-Chief Minister Jai Ram presided over the inaugural function of State Level Hamir Utsav held at Hamirpur today.

Chief Minister participated in Shobha Yatra starting from Deputy Commissioner Office to Shiv Temple. He performed puja in Shiv temple and inaugurated exhibitions put up by various Departments, Boards and Corporations.

Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur, MLA Hamirpur Narender Thakur, MLA Bhoranj Kamlesh Kumari, Vice Chairman HRTC Vijay Agnihotri, Coordinator of HP Kaushal Vikas Nigam Naveen Sharma, President District BJP Baldev Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Hamirpur and Chairman Mela Committee Harikesh Meena, SP Hamirpur Architsen Thakur were present on the occasion among others.


CM pays tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on 64th death anniversary

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today paid rich tributes to the founder of Constitution Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, popularly known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, on his 64th death anniversary by paying floral tributes at his statue at Ambedkar Chowk here today.

While interacting with the media on the occasion, Chief Minister said that Dr Ambedkar was known as the architect of the constitution of India and an eminent jurist who laid the foundation of democracy in India and worked continuously for socio-economic equality in the Indian society. He was also a notable economist, politician and social reformer who worked for upliftment of poor and downtrodden so that they could become integral constituent of development in the society. He campaigned against social discrimination towards untouchables.

Artistes of the Information and Public Relations Department recited ‘Bhajans’ of the occasion.

Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, MLAs Kishori Lal and Rakesh Singha, Mayor Kusum Sadrate, Deputy Mayor Rakesh Sharma and people from all walks of life paid tributes to Dr. Ambedkar on his death anniversary.
