Shimla, 11 November, 2025: In a continuing effort to bridge the gap between technology and education, YASHODA AI - a flagship programme of the National Commission for Women (NCW) in collaboration with Future Shift Labs (FSL) - organised a special workshop at the Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla on 11th November, 2025. This event marked a vital step in sensitising future lawyers, judges, and policymakers to the transformative (and sometimes disruptive) role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the justice system and society at large.
While National Commission for Women (NCW), Chairperson, Mrs. Vijaya Rahatkar in her address set the context that, “AI and law must evolve together to protect citizens in the digital age. By equipping young legal minds with digital wisdom, we are investing in a more just and informed India”.
She added, “As we move toward the vision of Viksit Bharat, it is essential to recognize that India’s greatest strength lies in its young population - the thinkers, creators, and innovators who will define our digital future. In the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat, every student and every woman contributing to this vision strengthens the foundation of a self-reliant and progressive nation. ”
