She would always make my favourite dishes. Watching her cooking and due to her blessings, I sharpened myself to try out new and exciting recipes. With time Cooking has become a passion for me. Cooking for me is an art full of creativity, where you explore your kitchen, mix your imagination and innovation with a twist to put together a delicious meal. I am Madhulika Vatsal presenting for you all some very amazing, delicious,yet very simple and easy recipes to win a lot of praise and make you feel overjoyed, proud and accomplished. Dodha barfi
Ingredients –
2 liter full cream milk

50 gram wheat

½ cup fresh curd

250gram sugar

½ cup grated dry coconut

½ cup sliced almonds

½ cup sliced cashews

½ tsp cardamom powder

A pinch of red food colour, 1/4 tsp brown food colour

For glucose –

¼ cup sugar

Method –

Soak wheat for 36 hours, drain out all the water, wrap soaked wheat in a thick muslin cloth. Keep in a bowl, place in a dark place, let them germinate for 24-36 hours. After 36 hours, open the cloth and let them sun dry for 2 -3 days. Transfer in a mixer jar and grind coarsely.

Take 2 liter milk in a heavy bottom wok. Allow to boil on high flame. Add curd and mix, after a few minutes, milk will have curdled. Add sprouted wheat coarse powder and cook on medium to high flame till the mixture thickens. Stir continuously. Add 1 tsp vinegar and cook for 3-4 minutes, it will make milk grainy textured. Add sugar, red and brown food colour and mix nicely. Cook till the mixture thickens. Pour in a greased tray and flatten it. Garnish with dry fruits and dry coconut, Keep aside for 3-4 hours at room temperature.

Cut in square pieces.
