CHANDIGARH,14.08.21-It reduces arthritis pain, pain in calf area or in feet. It regulates blood circulation in legs, feet and foot fingers, thereby curing numbness. The muscles are strengthened and relief is felt in lower back pain

Basically, all the foot and calf exercises help in returning stagnant lymph and venous blood. They thus relieve tiredness and cramps and help prevent venous thrombosis, especially in bed ridden, post operative patients.
STEPS

Sit in the base position. Keep the legs shoulder width apart and straight.
Slowly rotate the right foot clockwise from the ankle 10 times and then anti-clockwise 10 times.

Repeat the same with left foot.
Thereafter, slowly rotate both the feet together in the same direction.
Focus should be on the rotation of feet and not on the knees.
Practice 10 times clockwise and then 10 times anti-clockwise.
Now keep the feet separated

Slowly rotate both feet from the ankles but in opposite direction. Do 10 rotations in one direction and 10 in opposite direction.
Breathing:- inhale on the upward movement and exhale on the downward movement .

Awareness on the rotation of feet and on the breath.
