Dehradun, 18th February - The 3rd edition of the India Tourism Mart [ITM] 2021 is being organized by the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality [FAITH] with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India as well as State governments and Union Territory Administrations from 18th to 20th February 2021. The theme of the leadership conclave in ITM is "Aatmanirbhar Bharat – Realizing India’s Tourism Potential”. The leadership conclave Indian Tourism Mart 2021 will be a knowledge platform to deliberate and debate as what it will take to realize India’s full tourism potential, to achieve the target of doubling India’s international arrivals and contributing to India’s vision of 5 Trillion USD Indian Economy.

The key note sessions at ITM will provide insights into the big picture and vision for India Tourism. The Sectoral Sessions will discuss roadmaps and challenges in various tourism segments including Cultural Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Eco Tourism, MICE Tourism, Medical Tourism, and Cruise Tourism amongst others. State Sessions will provide opportunities for the States to showcase their potential and future plans for developing tourism. The technical sessions will provide professional and operational insights into various specialized aspects of tourism.

The keynote speakers and various panels will include thought leaders from the Government and the Industry, International organizations, successful practitioners, academia and NGOs. The speakers will deliberate on the key enablers for tourism including topics such as policies, infrastructure, marketing, ease of doing business, quality of service, attracting domestic and overseas investments and fostering a culture of innovation and technology among others.

Representing Uttarakhand tourism, Secretary Tourism Mr. Dilip Jawalkar will also be a key speaker addressing the session on ‘India’s Natural and Responsible Tourism’ tomorrow 19th February. Sharing his views on the event, Mr. Jawalkar said “As we venture into a vibrant year ahead with the motive of re boosting tourism, I would like to thank Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and FAITH to host the mega virtual event, ’India Tourism Mart 2021’. The session on ‘India’s Natural and Responsible Tourism’ will address the opportunity and the challenges to leverage and convert India’s immense natural heritage into creating a globally competitive tourism sector.”

ITM 2021 will provide the platform to connect with a wide range of buyers and exhibitors, brought together with a common spirit of curiosity and desire to do great business together.
