CHANDIGARH,18.10.20-The 4 days 36th Chandigarh State Yogasana Sports Championship ( online) took off today with over 100 participants taking part in various age groups. The Championship is being organised by Chandigarh Yoga Association in collaboration with Government College Of Yoga Education & Health Sector 23 was inaugurated by Sh Ashok Kumar Aggarwal, President Yoga Federation Of India as well as Asian Yoga Federation and working president International Yoga Federation. While inaugurating, Shri Aggarwal traced the history of Chandigarh yoga Association and praised the Association for organising the event during difficult pandemic period.Guest of honour Dr Sanjay Bhadada, Department Of Endocrinology PGI highlighted the importance of yoga. Dr .Rajiv Uppal General Secretary Of the Association presented his report about the activities of the association.Dr Sapna Nanda, Principal , Government College Of Yoga Education & Health, while delivering her welcome address, praised the association and complemented the participants Dr M K Virmani, Chairman of the Association administered the oath to the participants and Dr M S Kamboj presented vote of thanks.
Earlier, Dr Gunanidhi Sharma recited Saraswati Vandana in his melodious voice and the students of Government College Of Yoga Education & Health demonstrated their yoga skills in a rhythmic manner.
The championship is scheduled for 17th, 18th , 24th and 25th October2020. The results will be declared on the final day I.e. 25th October
