CHANDIGARH,28.09.20-Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women organised a national online Article Writing Competition- ARTIFACT on 'Dadra and Nagar Haveli: A Glimpse of Atulya Bharat' under the aegis of its Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Club. As Chandigarh is paired with Dadra and Nagar Haveli, this competition was aimed at generating awareness about the diversity of this multicultural land nestled between Maharashtra and Gujarat. The competition witnessed an enthusiastic response as 74 entries from nearly 15 states celebrated the colourful pallette of Atulya Bharat and reinforced the unshakeable spirit of unity in diversity of India. Tracing the historical developments of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the articles dwelt on the colourful tribal culture in the region and brought alive the mouth-watering delicacies of this myriad-faceted state. The winners were awarded cash prizes and e-certificates were given to all the participants.

Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava congratulated the winners and applauded the efforts of the EBSB Club of the college. She added that the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme of Government of India is a wonderful initiative that facilitates fostering of appreciation for our diversity while strengthening the fabric of national integration.
