BATHINDA, AUGUST 7-Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Associate Professor, Dr. Uttam Kumar Mandal from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Technology (DPST) has brought laurels for the University by fetching an International Collaborative Research grant of Rs. 23 lakhs from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi, Government of India.

His other collaborative research partners are from International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia and Burapha University, Thailand.

While congratulating Dr. Mandal for his achievement, DPST, Head, Dr. Rahul Deshmukh said this research will investigate the new horizon of personalized medication system by developing children friendly oral medication based on one's age and body weight for the treatment of tuberculosis by innovative 3-D printing technology.

MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Registrar Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu, University Dean, Academic Affair and Campus Director, Dr. Savina Bansal congratulated Dr. Uttam Kumar Mandal and his research team and wished them grand success and best for future endeavors. While praising the Department for its active role in research and its leadership role in pharmacy education within a short span of time after its establishment.
