SHIMLA,05.08.20-On the occasion of the Shri Ram Temple Bhoomi Pujan held in Ayodhya Today, a programme was organised in the BJP State Headquarters Shimla, a Deepmala programme was organized under the chairmanship of the party General Secretary Trilok Jamwal who lite the lamp of ghee in the office.
On this historic day, sweet distribution was also done by the Bharatiya Janata Party workers at Chakkar Bazaar and surrounding areas various programmes were also organised in the state. A program of bhajans was also organized in the office, in which the entire office and the chakkar market was enchanted by the sound of Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram.

BJP General Secretary Trilok Jamwal said that today after 500 years of waiting, the Bhoomi Poojan and the foundation stone of the temple of Lord Shri Ram has been completed uninterrupted, the path which has been paved for the construction of the temple by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will always be remembered.

He said that from the very beginning in 1980, the Bharatiya Janata Party made its goal to build a grand temple on Lord Shri Ram's birthplace, the party was committed to constructing a Ram temple in Ayodhya in a constitutional manner from the beginning. He said that in 1989, BJP's national executive meeting was held at Rotary Bhawan in Palampur. The party passed the resolution of Shri Ram temple for the first time in Palampur, under the leadership of revered LK Advani and then national party chief , the rath yatra started from Somnath in Gujarat on September 25, 1990. On October 30, 1990, thousands of Ram devotees crossed Ayodhya crossing the many barriers posed by Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and hoisted the saffron flag over the disputed structure.

He said but on November 2, 1990, Mulayam Singh Yadav ordered firing on kar sevaks in which hundreds of Ram bhakts gave their lives. Saryu beach was buried with the corpses of the devotees. He said that the Supreme Court bench gave opportunity to all the parties to hear for 40 days on a daily basis and heard their arguments, the Congress government had acquired 67.70 acres of Ramlala land in 1993 on which there was no dispute but the Congress governments Had never returned it.

He said that it is the Modi government which handed over this land to the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Trust, if the BJP and the Sangh and their associated organizations, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, do not come together and try, then the grand temple of Ramlala could not be imagined even today, the BJP Every manifesto reiterated its determination to build the Ram temple.

On this occasion, senior leader of the party and chairman of Himfed, Ganesh Dutt, in 1992, was actively associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, the convenor of Shila Pujan and was the head of the first batch of 56 Karsevaks from Shimla in 1992.

Senior BJP leader Ganesh Dutt shared many experiences of his time with activists and told how they was all arrested and imprisoned very close to a place in Ayodhya. Sharing their experiences, they said that the kar sevaks of that time had to face many difficulties when they all had to come back home and there was no money for food and for travel.
