Haryana Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will launch ‘Mahila Avm Kishori Samman’ Yojna’ and ‘Mukhya Mantri Doodh Uphaar Yojna’ on August 5, 2020 through video conferencing from Chandigarh

Chandigarh, August 1– Haryana Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will launch ‘Mahila Avm Kishori Samman’ Yojna’ and ‘Mukhya Mantri Doodh Uphaar Yojna’ on August 5, 2020 through video conferencing from Chandigarh. All the Deputy Commissioners in the State will launch the schemes at District- Level. The sanitary napkins and fortified flavoured skimmed milk powder will be distributed by the anganwadi workers from door to door to the beneficiaries on 5th August 2020 at the village level.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesman said that the State Government while realizing and underlining the need for knowledge and management of Menstrual Hygiene among women and adolescent girls, particularly of BPL families, has decided to provide hygienic sanitary napkins to the womenfolk in the age group 10-45 years, of this section of society, through the network of Anganwadis across the State.

As per available data, there are 11,24,871 BPL families in the state. By assuming that each such family might have two adolescent girl or women below the age of 45 to whom sanitary napkins will be provided. The expected number of womenfolk of BPL families in the age group of 10-45 years would thus be approximately 22.50 lakh and each of them will be provided with a packet of sanitary napkins, comprising six pieces per month for a year free of cost. He said that the State Government has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 39.80 crore for this ambitious scheme namely ‘Mahila Avm Kishori Samman Yojna’ for the welfare and healthy life for the women.

The spokesman said that in a bid to further improve the health and nutritional status of children and mothers, state government has decided to initiate a scheme namely ‘Mukhya Mantri Doodh Uphaar Yojna’ under which 200 ml of fortified skimmed milk in six flavours such as rose, ellaichi, chocolate, vanilla, butter scotch and plain will be distributed for six days in a week to 9.03 lakh children (1-6 years) and 2.95 lakh pregnant and lactating mothers, who are registered as beneficiaries in Aanganwadi centres (AWCs) across the state.

He said that fortified milk will be distributed for at least 300 days in a year. This skimmed milk powder is fortified with Vitamin-A and D-3 as per the specifications of Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Milk is a complete food in itself and is a rich source of protein, calorie, calcium, magnesium, B-12 and numerous other micronutrients. Fortification with Vitamin A and D3, it would supplement the need and requirement of these vitamins in the human body.

He said that the State Government has also decided to provide fortified Sweetened Flavoured Skimmed Milk Powder under ICDS which would be instrumental in tackling malnutrition. Further, it will improve the attendance of children in the Aanganwadis. Approximately 7200 MT fortified skimmed powder will be supplied by Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation (HDDCF) and Vita at village level. These organizations are already implementing the scheme of fortified skimmed milk powder for Elementary Schools in Haryana. Training for ‘how to prepare milk from skimmed powder’ has already been imparted by Vita/HDDCF to the officers of the department at district level through video clip.

He said that the training has been provided by trained officers/officials of the department to each Aanganwadi worker (AWW)/ Helper at village level. AWWs/Helpers thus trained will distribute the milk prepared from fortified skimmed milk powder to each beneficiary in 25962 AWCs across the state. The State Government will spend approximately Rs. 216 crore on this ambitious scheme, to improve the health and nutritional status of the target group.

Chandigarh, August 1- After providing a major relief to women employees by giving them the option of choosing the station of their own choice under the online transfer policy, now on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan taking another step towards women empowerment, Mr. Manohar Lal has accorded approval for opening of 10 new women colleges in the State.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone of 10 colleges from Government Post Graduate College, Sector 1, Panchkula on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on August 3, 2020 through video conferencing.

He said that in order to provide opportunities for higher education to the women of the State, the colleges for which the foundation stones will be laid include Morni Hills of Panchkula District, Isharwal in Bhiwani District, Goriwala in Sirsa District, Firozpur Jhirka in Nuh district, Chhatar in Jind district, Ladana Chaku in Kaithal district, Pratap Nagar in Yamunanagar district, Agroha in Hisar district and Bhainswal Kalan and Baroda in Sonipat district.

He said that these colleges will be started from the makeshift building of the government senior secondary schools from the coming academic session and admissions will be made in these colleges from this academic session. He said that the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stones of these colleges and public representatives of village panchayats and other distinguished people of the village through video conferencing.

Haryana Technical Education Minister, Mr. Anil Vij has today inaugurated the Online Admission Process started by the Department for Engineering and Diploma courses for Session 2020-21.

Chandigarh, August 1- Haryana Technical Education Minister, Mr. Anil Vij has today inaugurated the Online Admission Process started by the Department for Engineering and Diploma courses for Session 2020-21. This will provide an opportunity to the students to get admissions in these courses while staying at their homes.

Mr. Vij said that due to the circumstances that arose after COVID-19, it has become difficult for students to visit institutions to complete their admission process, whereas certificate verification is not possible without the original certificates. To simplify this situation, the State Technical Education Department has developed special software with the help of National Informatics Centre Haryana, which will be used for the admission process. This software will not only accept the application online but will also verify the certificates with the help of Digilocker. This will make it possible for students to enroll themselves even without being physically present.

The Technical Education Minister said that there are presently 37 State Polytechnic Institutes and 4 Aided Institutes in Haryana, in which diploma courses are available in 36 different trades. In these institutions 13,131 seats of engineering-diploma courses and 810 seats of vocational diploma course are available. Besides this, there are 151 Self-Financed Institutions, which have approximately 26,000 seats in engineering and diploma courses.

Principal Secretary, Department of Technical Education, Mr. Ankur Gupta informed that the Department is trying to prepare students for international level competitions by implementing advanced and updated All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) module courses as per the requirement of various industries.

Director General of Technical Education Mr. Ajit Balaji Joshi said that the development of this new software will facilitate the certificate verification as well. For this, certificates uploaded by candidates on Digilocker will be used. He informed that permission letters have been obtained for verification of the certificates of candidates of various states available in the Digilocker of that state and their links will be made available to various institutions, so that this process can be completed easily.

Director of the Department Mr. K.K Kataria said that the students passing out from these Technical Institutions will get good employment opportunities in many companies including Indian Railways, GAIL, Maruti, PowerGrid, NTPC. Along with this, Centres of Excellence have been established in many Technical Institutes of Haryana keeping in view the market requirement.

Top priority of the State Government to encourage higher education in the State and after mapping all the colleges of the state: Kanwar Pal

Chandigarh, August 1- Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal has said that it is the top priority of the State Government to encourage higher education in the State and after mapping all the colleges of the state, it was decided that at least one Government college will be opened within a radius of 20 km. In order to provide opportunities for higher education to the women of the State, Mr. Manohar Lal will lay the foundation stone of 10 new women colleges on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on August 3, 2020. With this, the number of colleges in the state will increase to 350.

Giving detailed information in this regard, the Minister said that at present there are 155 Government Colleges, 97 State Aided Colleges and 88 Self-financed Colleges in the State, while 10 Government Sector Universities, 22 Private Universities and two Government BEd colleges and 475 self-financed BEd colleges.

Mr. Kanwar Pal said that the new National Education Policy 2020 has been recently announced by the Central Government, in which radical changes have been made in the education system including school level, higher education level, technical as well as vocational education level to suit the global scenario of 21st century. He said that now every state will have to prepare a curriculum according to the new National Education Policy 2020.

He appealed to all the teachers as well as parents to study the new National Education Policy 2020 as this education policy has come with major changes after 34 years.

After successful implementation of the Online Transfer Policy in many departments of Haryana Government,Transport Department. Transport Minister, Mr. Mool Chand Sharma today transferred 941 drivers and conductors from Faridabad.

Chandigarh, August 1- After successful implementation of the Online Transfer Policy in many departments of Haryana Government, from today onwards this policy has also come into force in the Transport Department. Transport Minister, Mr. Mool Chand Sharma today transferred 941 drivers and conductors from Faridabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mool Chand Sharma said that 941 employees who have been transferred online today include 565 drivers and 376 conductors. Of these, 258 drivers and 198 conductors have got the station of their first choice.

The Minister congratulated the senior officers and employees of the department and said that now under this policy the drivers and conductors will be able to get themselves transferred to the station of their own choices.

He said that as the entire transfer process is online, therefore employees will not have to travel to Chandigarh office to get their transfers done.

On this occasion Mr. Rajeev Nagpal, General Manager of Roadways Depot Faridabad and Mr. N.K. Garg, General Manager Palwal Depot, were present. While, Director-General Transport Department Mr. Virender Dahiya and Joint Director State Transport, Mrs. Meenaxee Raj were connected from Chandigarh through video conference.

State Government, ahead of Raksha Bandhan, has given a special gift to the daughters of Agroha town in Hisar district by giving approval for a New Women’s College:Anoop Dhanak .

Chandigarh, August 1– Haryana Minister of State for Archaeological & Museums and Labour & Employment, Mr. Anoop Dhanak said that the State Government, ahead of Raksha Bandhan, has given a special gift to the daughters of Agroha town in Hisar district by giving approval for a New Women’s College.

While congratulating the people, Mr. Anoop Dhanak said that this has fulfilled the age-old demand of the people of the area. Expressing happiness over opening of the women’s college, the Minister also thanked Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, and Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala for this.

The Minister said that in his previous tenure he had promised the area residents for opening of women’s college. He said that for fulfilling his promise he had requested the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.

Mr. Anoop Dhanak said that after the opening of women's college in Agroha, the daughters of this area will not have to go out for higher education and there will be an increase in the number of girls completing their higher education.

While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that a cash prize of Rs. 4 lakh, citation and a trophy will be given under the Haryana Vigyan Ratna Award, while a cash reward of Rs, 1 lakh, citation and a trophy will be given under the Haryana Yuva Vigyan Ratna Award.

Haryana Vigyan Ratna Awards will be given to eminent scientists above 40 years of age, while Haryana Yuva Vigyan Ratna Awards will be given to eminent scientists below 40 years of age.

He informed that the cut-off date for determining the age of 40 years for nominations of Haryana Yuva Vigyan Ratna Awards is December 31, 2020 and only fresh nominations will be entertained.
