Chandigarh, June 28: With a view to promote micro-irrigation projects, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has directed the Command Area Development Authority (CADA) to work more extensively and to prepare a report of the details of repair and expansion work of the waterways constructed every year by CADA. The Chief Minister’s goal is to promote water conservation and productively use every drop of water for which he has accorded approval to the formation of Micro-Irrigation Mission Authority.

Giving information about this, an official spokesperson said that the Chief Minister gave these directions during a recently held review meeting of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department.

He said that registration has been done for the formation of the authority under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act, 2012. The main objective of the Authority is to monitor the schemes funded by the Central Government through National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for Micro Irrigation Fund.

He informed that micro-irrigation projects to be implemented by CADA include the construction of common infrastructure and installation of Drip and Sprinkler irrigation systems in the fields. He said that the Micro Irrigation Mission Authority will work mainly through the Governing Body and Executive Committee. He said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will be the Chairperson of the Governing body and will comprise 10 ex-officio members, while the Chief Secretary, Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora will be the Chairperson of the Executive Committee and will have 7 ex-officio members.

He said that the ex-officio members of the Governing body will include Chief Minister as Irrigation and Finance Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala as Development and Panchayats Minister, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. Jai Parkash Dalal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Khullar, Chief Secretary, Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Mr. Devender Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Mr. TVSN Prasad and Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal.

He said that the ex-officio members of the Executive Committee will be Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Mr. Devender Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Mr. TVSN Prasad and Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, Director General, Agriculture Department, Mr. Vijay Singh Dahiya, Engineer in Chief, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Mr. Birender Singh. Apart from this, Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department and Administrator, CADA, Mr. Wazeer Singh Goyat will be its Member Secretary, he added.

Haryana Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), CID, Mr Anil Kumar Rao inaugurated the state-of-the-art Drone Application and Research Centre (DARC) in the foothills of Shivaliks in Panchkula today.

Chandigarh, June 28: Haryana Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), CID, Mr Anil Kumar Rao inaugurated the state-of-the-art Drone Application and Research Centre (DARC) in the foothills of Shivaliks in Panchkula today.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr Rao said that DARC has been conceptualised as a harbinger of research and training in the field of drones. He said that the event marked a significant development in application and research of drones for intelligence collection and surveillance.

While enumerating the various uses of drones, Mr Rao said that drones could be used for precise aerial photography ahead of big events or congregations, law enforcement , supervising border movements, any unmanned area requiring surveillance to name a few of its uses. He said that this will be a training facility to help personnel in CID to master maneuvering drones, anti drone tactics and further research in the field. The DARC is equipped with a drone simulator machine also, added Mr Rao.

He said that Drones have been around for more than two decades and individuals, commercial entities and governments have come to realise that drones have multiple uses,

IG Security, Mr Saurabh Singh said that the future of Drone Technology is currently undergoing groundbreaking progression. He said that the next generation of drones or smart drones with in-built safeguards and artificial intelligence which makes them map areas, track objects and provide analytical feedback are the future. He said that the Department was committed to provide police specific solutions through the use of this technology. He said that DARC will be supervised by SP Security Mr Pankaj Nain.

The event was marked by the presence of Mr Ronjan Sodhi, Ace Indian double trap shooter, winner of two silver medals at the 2010 Asian games .He is also the recipient of the Arjuna award and Rajiv Gandhi khel Ratna Award. A competition of trap shooting and drone maneuvering was also held on this occasion.

Among those present on this occasion included IG Security, Mr Saurabh Singh, IG CM Flying Squad, Mr Rajender Kumar, DIG Security Mr Manish Chaudhary, SP Security Mr Pankaj Nain, SP Security Mr Hamid Akhtar, SP Intelligence Mr Rajesh Kalia and other senior officers of Police Department.

Chandigarh, June 28: Haryana Minister of State for Archaeological and Museums and Labor and Employment, Mr. Anoop Dhanak has directed the officers of the Electricity Department to immediately replace the tattered wires in the villages and provide tube-well connections to the farmers. It should be ensured that the farmers get electricity connections as soon as possible and in view of the hot weather, uninterrupted supply of electricity should also be provided in all the villages, he added.

During a meeting in Uklana today, the Minister of State took progress report of the development works for the period from November 2019 to June 2020, and reviewed the ongoing development works in the constituency. During this meeting, he listened to the problems of the people from various villages and assured that every problem would be redressed on priority basis and no stone would be left unturned for the development works in Uklana constituency.

Mr. Anoop Dhanak said that no development work should remain pending in the constituency and the grievances of the people should be redressed timely. The development works still pending should be completed within the next 15 days and the reports should be sent to him, he added. He directed the officers of the Public Health Engineering Department to get the pipelines of drinking water laid in all the villages at the earliest and to ensure that clean drinking water reaches every household. In addition, high capacity motors and generators should be provided for the evacuation of rainwater in Uklana so that the city does not get waterlogged during the monsoon, he added. He also directed the officers to immediately get the broken sewerage lids repaired from Surewala Chowk to Uklana.

He said that the objective of the State Government is to provide clean drinking water to the people. He directed the officers of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department to construct Cement Concrete (CC) Road instead of Coal Tar Road in village Bithmara on the Hisar-Tohana Road at the earliest. He directed the officers of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department to ensure that the farmers get water till the tail ends and to get the damaged watercourses repaired at the earliest.

Haryana, Department of New & Renewable Energy has specified that the applications for installation of Solar Water Pumping Systems under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM)' Scheme of the Union Ministry

Chandigarh, June 28– Haryana, Department of New & Renewable Energy has specified that the applications for installation of Solar Water Pumping Systems under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM)' Scheme of the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy are being received only through SARAL portal i.e. saralharyana.gov.in.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesman said that it has come to the notice that few new websites have cropped up as registration portal for this Scheme. Such websites are potentially duping general public and misusing data through false registration portals. Therefore, to avoid any loss to the general public, people are advised that the application under PM-KUSUM Scheme for Solar Water Pumping System to be installed in Haryana are being received online through SARAL portal of the state government i.e. www.saralharyana.gov.in and there is no other portal for this purpose.

The spokesman said that general public is advised to refrain from depositing any registration fee and sharing their data on such fraudulent websites. Further, for any query they may visit official website of the Department i.e. hareda.gov.in or they may contact the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chief Project Officer of their district.

The spokesman said that the department is implementing a programme for installation of solar pumps for agriculture purpose under the ambit of 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme of Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. Under this Scheme, 15,000 off-grid solar pumps are being installed in the state with 75 percent subsidy. The applications for this programme are invited through SARAL portal and no money is required to be deposited at the time of the application. He said that the implementation guidelines and other details about the Scheme are available on official portal of the Ministry, www.mnre.gov.in as well as hareda.gov.in.
