Chandigarh, Jun 21 : An online webinar under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat started today by NCC Group Headquarters, Chandigarh. The webinar is being organised on behalf of DG NCC under the aegis of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal & Chandigarh Directorate NCC, where in NCC cadets from the states of Karnataka, Goa, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal & Chandigarh will participate while staying at home, using internet.

The program is being conducted and coordinated by the Air wing of Chandigarh. NCC. In the prevailing situation, an attempt has been made by National Cadet Corps to engage cadets in some goal oriented personality development activities and to carry forward the EBSB program, an outstanding initiative of Government of India amid lockdown, said Group Captain M R Pandeya, Commanding Officer Airwing NCC Chandigarh.

Brig Harsh Chhibber, Group Commander NCC Chandigarh said that the main aim of organising the event is to celebrate the amazing diversity of our Nation and to promote awareness about history, geography, culture, cuisine and language amongst the NCC cadets of states grouped together for the webinar. The event will provide a platform to cadets of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Karnataka and Goa to showcase their respective regions through presentations & performances.

The program started with welcome note delivered by Dr Shilpi Ahuja caretaker Air wing NCC from DAV College, Sector 10, on behalf of the PHHP&C Dte, Headquarters Chandigarh. Cadets will also participate
in various colourful and wonderful activities like singing, dance, debate, quiz & discussions.

At the end of the week long event, the winner of various online competitions will be awarded and all the participating cadets will be given an E-Certificate for participation. The first of it’s kind the event will set pace for many such training activities which show the human resolve to continue with life in spite of any hurdles such as those imposed by the Covid 19 Pandemic.
