Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 25.01.2020. Later they were released on bail.

Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady Sector 40, Chandigarh and recovered 10 injections of Buprenorphine and Pheniramine drugs from her possession near Chowk Sector 37/38/40/41, towards slip road Sector 40B, Chandigarh on 25.01.2020. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Krishna Solanki @ Ashu R/o # 5483, Maloya, Chandigarh and recovered 220 gram charas from his possession near Mandir, Maloya, Chandigarh on 25.01.2020. A case FIR No. 15, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Om Parkash R/o # 512, Janta Colony, Naya Gaon, SAS Nagar, Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Jupiter Scooter No. CH01BF9915 from parking of Lake Club on 25-01-2020. A case FIR No. 07, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 12, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 3189/3, Sector-44-D, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Fortuner car No. CH01BK7879 which hit to complainant’s Alto K-10 car No. PB52A2662 at light point Sector 43/44 on 20.01.2020. Complainant’s wife namely Sarabjit Kaur got injured and admitted to GH-16, Chandigarh and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Later on alleged person namely Ashok Kumar R/o # 3346, Cooperative Society, Sector -51, Chandigarh arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of case is in progress.

Police station Mauli Jagran

On 25.01.20 a case FIR No. 09 dated 25.01.20 U/S 395 IPC PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh has been registered in Police station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. The brief facts of the case are that complainant Sh. Pankaj S/o Naresh kumar R/o H.No.394 DMC Sec-38 West Chandigarh Age-19 yrs. stated that on 25.01.20 at about 08:00 PM when he was coming from Railway Station to Mauli Jagran side and reached near Shiv Mandir, Railway road, he was robbed by 5 unknown boys on knife & pistol point and robbed his purse containing Cash Rs. 600/- & Aadhar card and mobile phone make MI. He further stated that while talking with each other they were addressing with the names of Dhania and Bambo.

On 26.01.20, a special team consist of 1 NGO, 3 ORs under the close supervision of SHO PS Mauli Jagran was constituted. The police party of police station Mauli Jagran achieve the success by arresting 2 accused namely Shubham @ Baimbo S/o Rajinder R/o # 3809, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh Age-22 yrs. and Rajinder @ Dhani S/o Man Singh R/o # 2856, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh Age-24 yrs. and 3 juveniles and recovered robbed property i.e purse containing Cash Rs. 600/-, Aadhar Card and mobile phone make MI. Further, during the interrogation of the accused persons, they confessed that they were involved in more than 100 incidents of pick pocket at Railway Station and 15 Robberies, out of which 5 robberies were committed by them after stabbing the victims. They further confessed that all the robbery incidents have been done by them during the period from 10.01.20 to 18.01.20. Further, most of the incidents have been occurred in the jurisdiction of GRP, Chandigarh and cases have also been reported to GRP, Chandigarh. Only one above said case i.e FIR No. 09 dated 25.01.20 U/S 395 IPC has been registered with PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. It is pertinent to mention here that most of the above said criminals are also found involved in theft, burglary cases in Chandigarh, Panchkula, Kalka, Pinjore etc. All three juveniles have been sent to juvenile homes on 26.01.20 and other two accused are being produced before the Hon’ble Court today i.e 27.01.20.
