CHANDIGARH,20.01.20-The Third Edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ was organized at Talkotra Indoor stadium in Delhi on 20th January 2020. Two thousand students and teachers, in total, had attended the session, out of which 1050 students were selected through an Essay competition. Proud to share that Shiya Goswami, a Class IX student from KB DAV Sr. Secondary Public School-7 was selected to attend this wonderful session with Prime Minister Narinder Modi Ji.

The session started with the speech of HRD minister Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal, who emphasized on a mission ‘Swatch Bharat Swasth Bharat’. Prime Minister Narinder Modi interacted with the students and began the session in an informal manner by saying “#without filter”. PM Modi urged the students to walk out of the comfort zone and get into the challenge mode. He advised the young generation to be focused and have self confidence in themselves to tackle all hurdles in their life. He gave example of Anil Kumble bowling with injury during a match against West Indies. He urged the students to read the book ‘Exam Warriors’ to deal with the examination stress. He motivated children to discipline themselves and make balance between Co-Curricular activities and studies. He said fear of Technology should not hamper our way, rather it should help us in our Education. PM felt obliged as children asked a very personal question ‘What is the best time to study?’ Answering the question, he suggested the students to wake up early morning and study. He urged that this is the best time for any work, but he went on to add that do as per one’s comfort.

PM Modi said, “Even small efforts lead to big changes in life”. Quoting and example, he said, even switching off light to save energy is a good effort. He advised parents not to pressurize students about Exams and Entrances as the world is full of opportunities and they should not restrict their children only to school Examinations

The session ended with the feedback session by our Principal Ma’am, Ms Pooja Prakash. Sourish of Class VII said, “We should not take stress while going for exams”. Manvi of Class VII suggested that it is not important to study in the early hours, we should look for our comfort zone. Vanshpreet of Class VII emphasized that Use of Technology in right manner is always helpful

In all, 225 students of class VII directly watched the live session in the Multi-purpose Hall, whereas nearly 450 students of Class VIII & IX watched the live session in respective classrooms on Interactive Boards. The entire session of PM Modi on Pariksha Pe Charcha, has been recorded and shall be viewed by rest of the students the next day.

In nutshell, it was a fruitful Interactive session enjoyed by the students and the teachers.
