Chandigarh, January 04, 2020 -Amid its attempt to ensure clean & healthy e commerce market in the Country and its nationwide agitation against malpractices of Amazon, Flipkart and other e commerce Companies, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), an apex organization of 7 crore traders of the Country is holding a three days National Traders Convention on 6th to 8th January at New Delhi which will be attended by thousands of traders from all states of the Country. The convention will be held at a specially crafted Bhamashah Stadium at Ramlila Ground at New Delhi.

CAIT Chandigarh Chapter President Shri Harish Garg , General Secretary Shri Bheemsen Aggarawal and Vice President Hari Shankar Mishra said that the role of 7 crore traders of the country is very important in fulfilling Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's goal of making India a 5 trillion economy by the year 2024 and in this context, cohesive business environment in the country. coupled with more better opportunities should be available to traders and small Industries, GST tax system should be simplified, small traders and small entrepreneurs get better export opportunities, in place of foreign companies, the indigenous companies and traders should have a bigger role to determine the role in trade and commerce is the main objective of holding the convention.

Shri Garg today said that Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah, Defence Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal, Urban Development Minister Mr. Hardeep Puri, Women Child Development Minister Smt. Smriti Irani, Environment Minister Mr. Prakash Javedkar, Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Agriculture Minister Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar etc. will be communicating with the traders of the Country at different sessions to be held during three days convention. included, CEO of NITI Aayog Mr. Amitabh Kant and many senior officials of the government will also participate in the convention.

Mr.Garg said that various crucial issues like Reforms & Policies needed for E Commerce market of India,.Acceptance & Adoption of Digitalisation including Digital Payments and its road blocks,Access to easy finance to traders and policies for their comprehensive financial inclusion,.Recongnition of Direct Selling as integral part of Retail Trade and adoption as an additional business,Strengthening the role of NBFCs & MFIs for lending finance to traders,Affordable Insurance schemes for traders and their business establishments, Restructuring of Pradhanmantri Mudra Yojna, Simplification & Rationalisation of GST Tax structure, Exploring the avenues of cooperative business model in India, Modernisation of commercial markets with Infrastructure under Smart City, Encouragement policies & Hand Holding of Start Ups, .Strengthening of Distribution Channel & Supply Chain Management, Strengthening the network of Women entrepreneurs in India, Early implementation of National Retail Policy & E Commerce Policy and other core issues., Promotional campaign for Make in India Products among trading community will be discussed in various sessions to be held during three days convention.

Mr.Garg told that after the discussion on various topics in all the sessions of the three-day plenary session, CAT will issue a "Delhi Declaration Form" and will ensure the solution to business problems by discussing various topics with various government ministries.
